Updating maps

Hello everyone, I am looking for information on how to update the maps on the navigation system. Never done it before so any kind of info would help. thanks

you need to find a CD with the updated maps that you can insert in your CD drive. The nav system automatically

detects the upgrade and installs.

Umm CD from where? Shouldn't the updates be available on a website?

Yes the updates are on the Toyota Nav Site and there is a facility to receive a CD after searching for the map. Dnt know if the facility is applicable in the UAE. Try contacting the reps at toyota?

Ugh I thought i would just be able to download the maps and somehow update the navigation system. Process seems to be not as easy. Will see when i call them up.

regarding Navigation system for updating you may get from the website but unfortunately the Middle Version is hard to get or u have buy online the Middle East version.... I found once, it was all about Europe and USA.... Only Alfuttaim dealers could do this job. I dont know how much they charge....

Thanks Auto ... I asked a tech-savvy friend for help and he got me a version of the Middle East version of the CD. I still haven't updated the system but obviously now all I got to do is insert and let it update by itself. i might just be amongst the lucky ones ... its unbelievable that u would have to go to the Alfuttaim route for just a map update! anyways cheers.
