Alright guys, looks like we already have full house turn out now. This shows that we have enough car enthusiast's who have been bitten with sand bug in the past and want to graduate their skills further. And I'm equally excited as every one of you.
This desert training is always a kind of wish list training for me and Rahim bhai, that we wish someone has done it for us when we were learning and new in desert. We could have learn and understood the stuff faster in one or two drive than learning from our failures over multiple drives. And I strongly urge and request everyone to learn and pass on same in the future to help others.
Plan for tomorrow is divided in 5 waypoints as below, just to keep everyone updated:
Mahafiz Training Entrance - Intro + theory
Mahafiz medium dunes - theory + practical
Mahafiz Sabka - Breakfast + theory + fun stuff
Mahafiz long range - Drive + practical
Mahafiz tall dunes - Adrenaline drive and exit
Please bring your camping chairs if you have so that we can sit over the breakfast and run theory session.
Once again its a great opportunity for me to meet and greet Carnity members.
Thank you @Gaurav Bhai to initiate this particular Desert training session, i'm always up to learn and accept new challenges.
I tried so hard to buy 4X4 through out the week, found few of them and short listed with the great advises from the one and only desert King @RahimdadBhai, will soon select one.
unfortunately don't have a 4X4 now, please advise the availability so that i can join.
Thanks @Rahimdad, just called them to check and was informed that my car is also on the list. Donno if they were really gonna call me. Anyway I better get it sorted before it's too late.
It was very special morning for us & I have learned a lot from this drive. Thanks to @GauravBhai, @skumar83 and @RahimdadBhai for great guidance during my first drive of such kind. Irrespective of all issues, I enjoyed it lot. Great efforts by team & love to be part of it.
@Gaurav bhai and @Rahimdad bhai were like magicians for me due to their skills & vast experience in desert drive & the way they handled situation.
PS : Could not post my opinion as I have to rush China on next day & didn't had time to go through these posts. I could see photos but for video, its not supporting here. I need to wait for another 10 days to see it when I land back in UAE.
@shadow79 If you bring cycle make sure it's 4x4 to meet drive requirement.
On a serious note, try to join as you might add some value from your workshop expertise.
I am a mechanic. My honest opinion is that these cleaning additives don't work. I know because I had a tie up with an oil company and gave some customers free samples to try. Nothing changed anything.
As a mechanic, I've rarely seen injectiors giving trouble. When they do, the only solution is to take them out and either clean them manually or do ultrasonic cleaning.
Dont believe the hype. If the fuel being supplied was so bad that all the cars were breaking down, we'd be in a constant traffic jam.
