To teach the real art of recovery we need a stand-alone training session so that support team members can learn the basics, tricks and techniques with complete peace of mind. A drive to remember and a great experience to be part of thank you @Ale Vallecchi for the great wholesome drive and being considerate with the route. The first half was a challenge gladly finished at the start of the day and the convoy got in rhythm with a couple of pop outs. As for the second magical half was a stunning drive with a smooth flow of climbing those dunes and perfectly mixed sideys and criss-crossing. Nahil sunset and full moon was the cherry on top. @Benje_Junior thank you for all the support you gave across the whole convoy and sharing your experience.

Thk for today's drive @Ale Vallecchi which was my first fewbie and quite intense drive. Now i know well what pop out is and hopefully wont be getting many of those after i improve my desert driving skills. Hope after few more drives will be able to stay for the whole day of driving on the dunes. @Benje_Junior tks for your support with fixing pop outs and explaining and showing what and how to do!

Great drive yesterday everyone. We pushed out almost 40km of off-road action. It was a drive in a new area for me, Mia my copilot was very happy at the number of camels we spotted! Some soft sand made it tricky in places but everyone navigated it all expertly! See you all in the sand again sometime soon

Hi All, thank you @M.Seidam for the drive. Beautiful area and great pace. observing 392 covering half of the dessert in 2H was impressive! sadly towards the end I found a bump and lost a fog light, and @Bjoern damaged his control arm in the same spot. But we are all safe and thanks to support we exited safely. I hope the dent in the pocket will be smaller than on the car…

Not sure how i missed such an interesting topic... I am adding the below not that i can add one cent of value to all the interesting contributions of very experienced off-roaders in the discussion but to give future Carnitists @Carnity another "toy" to consider when they go through this thread as it was not mentioned at the time: The Ford Ranger Raptor This vehicle in my personal opinion blurs all the lines and categories mentioned in the 7 pages of comments. In one weekend It can give the most capable, modified dune bashers and climbers the hardest time and a run for their money while also being a full-on armored and equipped Overlander the next weekend with 0 issues and constraints. It can also be parked at the front space of a hotel for a Gala dinner the following weekend. (Make sure to get a conservative color in this case ) It all depends on how you design and build it. Other than a protective layer for the underbody, there is 0 AED additional cost to unlock new levels of fun in the outdoors, throughout all off-roading activities: - Dune bashing - Overlanding / Scenic drives - Camping/Picnics - Outdoor adventures of all sorts It is a perfectly-sized powerhouse that calmly states "I AM HERE" when the big toys are around while being a more comfortable ride than a Rolls Royce, on-road. (Exageration intended but not too far from reality as well ) After having it for 8 months now, this thing is quite up there as the unicorn that can do it all for all purposes, needs and interests..... it does not look too bad as well (Exterior and Interior) for the "wifey" vote and approvals. One recommendation is to properly design it and not go overboard with what others do with bed racks, chase racks, molle panels and metal bumpers etc to keep it within this aspect of "One Toy to Conquer all Off-roading and On-road Needs".

Gear mounts are the main reason, ask your mechanic to remove and inspect, because if it has hairline crack, they dont soak the jerk from D to R but looks fine when you inspect them visually.
