Thanks for fun drive today everyone! We started heading into the big dunes of nahel in search of spice and passing the large nahel lake. Lots of flowing dunes and fast driving before heading back towards the Pacman Zone and trying to thread the needle between fences and farms to the south. After some fast sabhka crossings and passing the burnt out FJ, we visited the ghafatein bowl and enjoyed some loops. Next we made our way over to naghra where @Ale Vallecchi was constantly being harassed by fremen insurgents (quad car things) stopping us from harvesting spice and hitting all the climbs together. @Benje_Junior took over to lead the last quarter, revisiting some bowls from an early intermediate drive he did (if I heard properly over the radio 😅). I'd never been to this area before and enjoyed the long ridge rides and climbs! My stats say we averaged nearly 30kph... Pretty fast over a lot of different terrain! Nice fun Sunday! See you next time It's lucky we exited when we did..my car was saying 16km of fuel remaining even tho I started with a full tank😅 Jerry can in the backgot me to the next adnoc, but was looking close there for a while 😂😂4 points

Well done dune surfers! @Alexanderrr @Gautam Banka @Mahmut @Cristian @waqar @Brett Eicher @Beide Worku @Mario Cornejo @Ishak it was a beautiful morning with amazing drivers.. you drove impeccably with no stuck and I can remember only one refusal! The radio remained super silent.. with only confirmation of the convoy movement through the beautiful terrain. With a focussed briefing on safety , drive plan , As we started around 7 am, we had a minor issue with the Gautam’s Jeep electronics during lineup. It seemed that everything was ok in the next couple of minutes( it wasn’t) as we moved to the clean enticing dunes near the pac man farms. We kept riding the ridges as long as possible and switching over as frequently as we could. Around 2 hour mark, the electronic issue in the jeep resurfaced. It seems the car had the traction ON and was having difficulty climbing forcing us to quickly get to the long gatch / unpaved road towards sweihan. We tried a short incursion on the technical dunes to see if the problem resolved , however we found the jeep stuck on ledge of a tight bowl. We tried the old tested trick of cold reboot which worked well l and we had the car back to normal. with only about an hour left, we quickly moved towards Nagra dunes, hitting any and all ridges , slip faces, tall climbs , cross crossing our way as we reached a packed Nagra dune. After making a few climbs from the back, we moved over to the front steep face where everyone tried to scale the dune left right and center with all tricks and techniques they could. As we started to exit, it was a great to see end to end smile on everyone’s faces with the dose of adrenaline. Thanks @Alexanderrr for a brilliant 2nd lead..i seldom looked at my mirror. @Mario Cornejo sweep is where you seem most comfortable… it was an absolute pleasure to see you my friend! @Ishak for anchoring in the center and keep the convoy together. Highlight: It was chill to share a few cups of hot coffee and teas with stories from the past with the morning sun overlooking the mesmerizing terrain I throughly enjoyed leading you all and looking forward for many more!4 points

Thanks @Ale Vallecchi and all - that was a really fun drive today. A nice mix of terrains and sands, with some good climbs and a very fresh area at the back end of the drive to practice some more technical skills on clean sands. Extra bonus points as I got to use my winch, and use 4Lo + Lockers…with some great advice from @Bjoern on how to anchor the car when winching in the future. Great stuff!3 points

Cracking drive today @Simon D, thanks for great morning out and hope the car is back in the sand soon! Its been a while since being SL but it was grest fun at the front! Well drive @Haneef Thayyil, I had no idea it was your first fewbie+, you drove really well! One or two entertaining refusals / recoveries with support team helping both support and leads with some great crestings! Slighlty more challenging recovery for @khlief when ending up at an awkward angle in the slightly heavy/wet sand under the top layer. We managed to position the car with blipblip throttle and lots of left and right steering and shoveling, then slow delicate pull with kinetic rope. As always Badayer is often heavily tracked so well done to everyone for Steering down when momentum is lost and controlling their decent. Thanks @Ishakand @Imteeazfor supporting the convoy from further back. See you all again soon!2 points

PS If anyone has any pics/video of the winching and my car sunk into the sand, would be most grateful if you can share!2 points

Dear Desert Wanderers, @frederic demolder, @Zsolt, @Warbs, @Steffi, @Kirill K, @Mark B, @Shary, @Krinesh, @Hashem Rihan, @Gary F, Firstly thank you all for joining todays drive on time, this makes a great start to the drive as it allows us to get away sharp and on time. The Al Farah desert always throws challenges at us no matter what time of year, it is a great learning desert in my opinion as it has some soft powdery sand, some nice ridges (not that we used them for cross overs or ridge riding today, that will come ) but we did practice some up and overs and some sideys, and trust me when I say you all drove amazingly well covering an incredible 37 km's well done to you all. We did manage to meet up with convoy two at the Desert fox rock formation (not actually sure it has a name, but it does now lol. this was great as we were able to meet old and new friends (pics in the gallery). Then we headed off to teh exit at Sweihan where we encountered a couple of last minute stucks but nothing a bit of shovelling did not fix. I hope you all had fun, moreover, had a learning experience, not only for your own abilities, but also what you car is and is not capable of. A big thank you to my second lead @frederic demolder fantastic job following instructions and smoothing my track out, thank you and well done. And a big thank you to my support team @Mark B in CF and @Gary F sweeping us today, I could not have done it with out you guys so a big thank you from me, you guys make my life easy and it is a comfort knowing you are back there keeping everyone safe and sound. great job guys and appreciated. I have put a small Relive video below and some stats from todays drive https://www.relive.cc/view/vrqowBjeeKq have a great rest of your weekend 😃 hope to see you all in the sand again soon1 point
