  1. Good morning all! @Amr A@Amer Alsabbagh@Ghali Awa@Tej@ChrisW@Amr Morsy@Sam76@Raptor Runner - Praveen@Hartzel@Chema@Alex M@Noufal@Ana@Aser Thanks for signing up! Taking into account the weather conditions and geopolitical situation, there are some points i wanted to highlight: 1. I moved the starting time from 7AM to 8AM. This should make it easier to reach in time considering the potential bad condition of the roads. But please try to arrive by 7.45AM so you still have time left to deflate a bit and set up your flag. 2. If you have received public alerts throughout the night and did not sleep well, better to cancel from your side. There will always be another drive. Look after your own safety and your family first. 3. Deflation parameters will be different. Upon arrival i would recommend only to deflate to 16-18psi. The sand will be very compacted due to the rains. If needed we can always adjust during the drive. 4. Obviously this will not be a dune-bashing style of drive. The hard sand will feel totally different to drive on. Let's just aim at exploring the terrain, taking the occasional break with a hot coffee, and socialize a bit. Let's make it relaxing. 5. We will be using Channel 10. Which is 446.231Mhz on our walkie talkies. 6. Better bring some warm clothes and a jacket. It will be chilly in the morning Stay safe in the meantime and i hope to see you all in the morning!

  3. Dear @Aser, @_Herman_, @Ash S., @Danie, @Glenn W, @Diego, @Krinesh, @Beide Worku and @Alexanderrr, thanks a lot for joining the drive. As last week, since the beginning of the hostilities with Iran, the drive IS CONFIRMED, with the prayer to be aware of the safety protocol instituted in case of alerts during the drive, and with the freedom for all to drop from the drive if not feeling safe enough to travel to the desert. Considering the wintery weather we have been experiencing, I have added the "Desert Storm" theme to the title of the drive: let's see if we manage to enjoy some rain in the desert or perhaps find some unique and rare photo opportunities while driving. We expect the rains to have hardened and smoothed the sand, which will mean it should be easier to drive, climbing in particular, but that we'll still have to watch out for sticky sand just below the surface. I would suggest deflating quite a bit less, to see how hard (or soft) the surface will be, with the idea to avoid possible pop-outs in case it's still too hard. The area is only partially explored, especially the central and last segments, so we'll need to pay particular attention to the routing. At the moment the convoy order will be: @Aser in Second Lead @_Herman_ at #3 @Ash S. at #4 @Danie at #5 @Glenn W at Center @Diego at #7 @Krinesh at #8 @Beide Worku at #9 and @Alexanderrr in Sweep. Enjoy the end of the week, and see you on Sunday morning.

  6. Hi @Ash S. @Jerzi @Mei Ling @Mahmut @Frans M Thank you all for arriving on time — we were able to start the drive exactly at 7:30 AM. 🫡 We began our journey from Al Qudra Secret Garden 2 (Love Lake South), gliding smoothly over compacted sand that made the ridge riding comfortable and enjoyable. From there, we continued toward Secret Garden 1, where the dunes are noticeably higher. Despite the more challenging terrain, everyone drove confidently and handled the dunes very well. After about 90 minutes of driving, we stopped at a high, flat area to relax and enjoy some coffee, tea, and snacks. A great moment to recharge, chat, and take in the views. Thank you for the second lead @Ash S. and support team @Frans M. We also had @_Herman_ as Jerzi’s passenger, providing great support during recoveries and adding some fun during coffee time. much appreciated!. We wrapped up and headed out at 9:30 AM. Looking forward to seeing you again at the Al Qudra Coffee Club – Round 3!

  10. The traction control actively braking frequently during offroad drive is also causing extra shock stress for the CV joints. Wish you quick and efficient repair.
