DRIVE DETAILS Ever driven in Niqa Al Dheeb? Me either. This one is exploratory by design. I’ve spent some time scouting the area from satellite imagery, picking out what looks like promising terrain — now it’s time to find out what’s actually waiting for us on the ground. The mission is simple: explore, map and unlock new areas for future play. It could be full of vegetation, dead ends and awkward terrain. Or we might stumble across kilometres of untouched ridgelines just waiting to be driven. There’s only one way to find out. Expect scouting, backtracking, rerouting and plenty of figuring things out as we go. Together, we’ll push into unfamiliar territory, establish the limits of the area and see what Niqa Al Dheeb has to offer. No established route. No expectations. Just exploration. Starting from Tilal Sweihan, we’ll point the convoy west and head into the darkness for a night of flowing lines, ridge riding and experimenting with sidies after sunset. The lack of daylight changes everything, so expect a drive focused on reading the terrain by headlights, picking smooth lines and enjoying the challenge of familiar dune shapes feeling completely different at night. Along the way, we’ll make a stop at the fox dens, then continue westward as we work our way toward a Fayah exit. And because this is a proper night drive, there’s one non-negotiable part of the plan: Mandatory iced latte and moon gazing. With the Harvest Moon almost here, we should have a pretty special desert sky to finish under. Dark dunes, good lines, cold coffee, and a little moonlight. DRIVE DESCRIPTION: With the Dubai summer slowly easing and the temperatures finally starting to come down a bit, it’s time to enjoy the desert a little differently. We’ll start our drive at 5:00 PM, while there is still plenty of daylight to play on the dunes. As the sun begins to drop, we’ll find a nice spot around 6:00 PM, park the cars, pull out the chairs, and simply enjoy the desert. No rush. No engines. Just 30 minutes to watch the sunset, have a coffee, take some photos, and enjoy the cooler evening air. ☕🌅 At around 6:30 PM, we’ll pack up, switch on the lights, and head back into the dunes. The same desert starts to feel completely different after sunset. With fewer visual references and only our headlights showing the way, we’ll continue for approximately one hour of night driving, finishing around 7:30 - 08:00 PM. One drive. Note: Please ensure that all of your off-road gear is securely tied down with ratchet straps in the rear compartment of the vehicle.
