  1. did you call and ask the dealer for the price. Now a days there isint much difference between the dealers price and other shops selling original parts bit radiator is around 1200 to 1500 aed depending on the year of the car is.

  5. between 3 to5 inch is good from stock position this will save your bumpers both front and back if your purpose is of offroading. and if its for onroad i dont see the need of a lift its high enough already.

  10. Normal thin screwdriver is enough. Look at the base of shock and you will see small clip, pluck that grip out and shock absorber will come out. Then stick the new one just by pushing as it will automatically lock the grip once positioned properly. So after sticking it try to pull out and it should lock in its palce. If not try again.
  11. You can change both locks for 50 aed and get remote for 100 aed. So your ignition key is intact and will work with ignition and remote will open and close doors. Or change the faulty lock mechanism only from inside and see if ur current key can be usable on both doors, check with the shop keeper before buying they can advise u better after seeing the present state of lock. Basically if only lock is issue then its doable as they can change the lock from inside (not tumblers). But if tumblers are bad then they have to change the tumblers too which will change the key too.
  12. Any upholstery guys can fix this or rather renew the whole roof (given 12 year of age). Should cost you around 500-600 in satwa, and 400-500 in sharjah industrial area (upholstery shops behind BM road, near etisalat office).
  13. You dont need specialize garage in Jeep to fix door lock and costing you arm and leg. Go to satwa and get both door lock changed from iranian aftermarket shops near big bus station. Will cost you less than 100 aed.
  14. Get the gear linkage checked, it must have some issues in engaging the lever on reverse gear. If thats not the issue then its big problem (gear rebuild).

  16. in my advise dont go too high ive seen cars with insane lifts like 10 to1 inches too dont go for that as it may cause the car to loose its balance when you go over the dunes. if you are getting a lift to save the bumpers a decent 2 to 3 inch should do then again get it measured before you go ahead.
  17. Mabrook on such a classic beauty. You actually need a garage that can take care of classic car rather than Jeep garage. As in this age many or may be all the parts will be custom made or from different models of car. I remember some time back, someone was appreciating "House of cars" work for classic models, google them and check with them. Good luck buddy.

You choose for yourself what you need and what you dont, no need to listen to shop who sells all as they will sell you all mods for cost of ur wrangler by brainwashing you easily. 2.5 inch pro comp lift kit (Only for desert, on road for daily use you might hate it as ur jeep will be more tipsy on turns). Aev jk front winch bumber (only for desert and then RTA might not pass ur car in next passing as metal bumper not allowed any more). Pocket fender flare for jk (Its just cosmetic stuff, no practical use) 3.6 afe air intake filter (This might be useful for slightly better acceleration for road and desert, careful in not buying the one that makes noise then you will have issues with sharjah police) Rugged ridg black rims 17" with machined lip (Will make jeep more heavy and kill engine in desert more, but it might looks good) Cooper stt 33x12.5R17 (Will make jeep more heavy and kill engine in desert more, but it might looks good) And want to change the deffrentional raio to 4.56 (This is good mod to gain some power to neutralize the extra weight you are putting, but it will void the warranty for sure). If time was like before then getting headers and exhaust would have been best bet, but now noisy vehicle is big trouble. If i am in your place i will choose myself that what i want more and go that route. I think your friend is right mate.

  20. When car stops cranking, or started doing drama while cranking. As cranking the car chew most battery power. Every batter keep reserve cranking amp written on battery.
  21. buy new remote better, i think you can get in 100 - 120 dhs from satwa. Shop is opp satwa mosque.
  22. It is amazing buy, but with big dent on pocket with depreciation if you intend to change before two years of ownership. If you plan to keep for 5 years or closer then its worth it.
