    New music

Ozzy was probably built in the Toyota Land Cruiser pick up plant, because no human can withstand what he has been for so many years and still be in such good shape.
  2. Not to mention the L322 has two discreetly hidden huge antennas, guess that helps too. How bout simply trying to install a better antenna and a booster first. Should help.
  3. All I know is a buddy who later became a neighbour who both Gaurav and RD know, bought a new Xterra used it as a daily driver and then off road during the weekend. Last I saw it was around 250-270 ish kms on the clock and it drove and looked just fine and I dont recall anything going wrong on it. Only isssue is the rear suspension which is still old school leaf springs and once you go offroad they start to squeek as sand gets in between them. You can take them out clean them but next time you go off road they will start again. So all Xterra owmers I knew just lived with the rear suspension squeek.
  4. Aw come on Barr, why so serious, its just light hearted banter, you irish are famous for it. Beside this is just a diversion from real life and nithing else.Cant take it too seriously. Come om now lets go poke some more fun at those fugly pugs!
  5. Anything with two wheels is the same to me, doesn't matter. Evil death traps.
  6. Sorry mate, that will have to wait since I sold the disco long back.
  7. I'm with skumar83 on this one, totally against bikes, seem enough people I know die or severely injured here on bike now that I totally hate them. I would rather drive a 1977 corolla than the best bike in the world today and that's saying a lot. The crochet rocket is nothing but a one way ticket to hell invented by satan himself
  8. Well atleast you can use the left overs as fuel for beloved Diesel motors
  9. Well I would say a wrong demo then, whole point of computer diagnostics is to make life easier, not more difficult. This was the opposite. Should have started with a compression test first demo first. Or here is an idea majority of people here dont have deep digging scan tools, lucky to find avg joe members with even a simple obd scanner even though nowadays its less than 50dhs. Let alone car specific diagnostic tools. So something how to sort out something using basic OBD. And I know what you mean. I would spend hours messing with my Range Rover when I first got my JLR scanner. Now I'm bored and just plug it in every now and then just to see if everything is in order
  10. OR a guide to make an easy diagnostic overly complicated. If the front right corner is dropping its obvious the problem lie on that end and get straight to the soapy water bottle test.
  11. And two reasons for that probably. One, dealership is in dubai Two, probably doesnt have the range to go somewhere farther and come back so they are all stuck in dubai! Lol. Yes I know listed range is 500kms plus but in a real world hot weather with everything on, on highway its down to half that. Unlike IC cars mileage gets worse on highway for electrics. And just
  12. I would really like to see real world daily driver usage of an electric vehicle in these parts. Where the AC is on all the time ie zapping power and you ar stuck in for hours in traffic and the havoc the 50c heat will play on thr batteries. Last time I saw the Tesla it was sitting parked with an inch of dust all over it.
  13. In my year and half in RAK Ive seen one electric car, a Tesla with a Dubai plate.
  14. Jeez just when you thought they couldn't get any fuglier. I think I would commit suicide before I got behind the wheel of that abomination!
  15. Yeah but you look as cool as a used diaper driving around in those.
  16. By that I meant old Land Rovers being hard to work on. And parts not being available. Both of them dont apply here, as in Dubai. As for being white goods I have the same feeling about most cars. Think Ive said that few times here already Specially jap crap ecoboxes and small to mid size suv's but not only limited to jap crap.
  17. Yeah thats what I said, rust isn't a problem here for any car. Too late for a build thread, bought and built more than 10 years ago and let go around a couple back. Wouldn't be fun one anyway. Didn't need much anyways. Just a 2" coil spring lift, camel cut and some front bumper trimming just for looks. And it was good to go. Oh and bigger 270/65 tyres, hence the need for a camel cut
  18. Ive had plenty of Land Rovers and none of mine rusted only the body panels excluding the roof are aluminum rest is regular metal including the frame, but rust in general isnt a problem in these parts. My 2nd series one was the car I had the longest and put a Ton of clicks on it, drove it 400kms daily from dxb to AD twice a day. Last I remember it was close to 350k kms I bought it at 170k kms for a measly 8k also here parts are plenty and cheap and its a old school truck with no electric nonsense and very easy to work on. I did 90% work on it myself. SO Treks rant doesnt apply here. Series 2 1st gen not so good because BMW fucked it up with their shitty over engineering by incorporating useless tech where none was needed. Like getting rid of the center diff lock feature and replacing it with shitty traction control which was always broken. Even though the transfercase had the ability to lock BMW just removed the linkage to it. Many owners have reverse engineered it by fitting one from a series 1 disco. For me though Big Red ( my disco ) was the most reliable and cheap and cheap to fix car I ever owned. The most expensive item I ever bought and fitted was a used transfer case for 350dhs which me and my bud swapped out in a 3-4hours.
  19. You forget. I owned a jeep once, even if for a very brief period. 3 months I think.
  20. So an off road vehicle that catches fire when driven off road. LOOOOL
  21. From all the jap craps out there, this is no 1. The Mitsu Mirage/Attrage. Even Doug agrees No 2 : The Nissan Sunny 3 : Fiesta/Figo
  22. Ah the Super Lift Kit Extreme SWB Edition of the Pajero. Tested to 1hp at the hoofs
  23. This guys jeep is pretty much modded for off roading if you watch his channel its built up quite a lot for overlanding with all the plates and guards so the bush and scrub theory is out of the window. Its just a jeep doing its thing, which we dont understand Also if you watch the complete video he says everything was normal, no lights on the dash, gauges all normal. So no burst coolant hoses or toasting the motor etc etc. He's not a newbie by any measure and done a lot of long overland off-road trips with this jeep. Videos on his channels and all. So yeah confirms it no brush or scrub, just jeep being jeep.
  24. Spontaneously catching fire and burning to a crisp toast Watch from 11.00 onwards
  25. Do they swap batteries or recharge during pitstops. Can image 4hr pitstops to recharge batteries! Lol
