  1. Good input @Javier M and thanks for sharing the full-length video to get these little cuts for learning Let's see what others have to say more......!
  2. Let's see what our offroaders have to say for this stuck......? You can post any of your stuck or someone else stuck or even youtube stuck to discuss and learn Stuck 2.mp4
  3. See if you love this Gen2 Pajero for any reason, old memory, old love, some soft corner then go ahead and buy and live with it and you will enjoy it. If Gen2 Pajero is just another beater 4x4 then stay away from this, as they get pricey very quickly due to Mitsubishi expensive spare parts, long wait for some special spare parts due to unavailability. Buying a 10 years old Xterra is better than 20 years old Pajero (older engineering), that require a lot of money to bring it back to the suitable state for weekend warrior - suspension, steering, engine, AC, engine cooling, transmission. I remember spending tons on engine cooling when I first bought it. On road - no heating, engage 4x4 and within 5 mins it starts heating up. You just can't buy this 20-year-old Pajero for 8-10K and straight into the desert for the next 1 year. You might have to spend 5-10k more to bring it to 100% usable strength for offroad so it can take a weekend bashing.
  4. It's not on Saturday, this drive is on Friday
  5. Just like to mention, that timing is 6:30AM and not 7:00 like previous drives.
  6. After buying 10k ride and spending 5 -7 k for mods and overhauling, better to buy 20k Xterra, in stock condition it can outperform most of the capable 4x4.
  7. Naah, don't do that strength doest multiply in metal like this that 4x2=8 Drive it for now and when this gets bad hit or deform, change it to 6/8 mm.
  8. You mean with 500K and not 500 Dhs. lololol. @AKR bash plate was a must in your case and good you sorted it out. You should have discussed the thickness here before getting it done as 4MM is borderline OK and might bend with a hard impact. Ideal bash plate thickness should be 6-8MM at least.
  9. It's a good decision @syedyaseer to have a separate offroad ride than your daily driver. Go through this classic post, solely made for this advice
  10. Thanks for this heads up @G.huz I always wanted to try these out to be honest after seeing several marketing videos. However, I have spent all my life in marketing and advertising so believe too little on those videos and always shy to buy these stuff because of my single concern: Breaking or damaging flaps inside the wheel arc. Can you please explain more in detail how these can damage the wheel if the car has enough clearance?

I think you already joined the newbie drive I posted. Looking fwd to see you again. Hi ARS, you can join the offroad club and then start with an absolute newbie drive first so that you can get detailed briefing and 4x4 familiarization. If you have previous offroad experience, then do share with us on drive thread, so that we can monitor your skills and promote you to the fewbie level as per Carnity Grading Structure
  14. Superb article on almost all points well covered. Slight addition I like to make on a few aspects: Kinetic recovery ropes or straps have plenty of advantages of softer pull, elastic effect but also has few downsides. After every tug kinetic ropes need some time to recover the elasticity. You can't or shouldn't use kinetic ropes on stuck that require hard tugs to reposition vehicle nose or back - when stuck in a wedge situation. Straps if it's from a proper offroad brand like bushranger or TJM, they need not be a 3-4 inch wide and still do the job very nicely for years as per what they are rated for. I think @Srikumar using one of those and still works fine. Industrial Webbing, often confused with rated straps as they look similar but that's where the logic of 3-4 (min-width) plays an important role. I'm still using (occasionally now) 5-inch wide Liftek Webbing Sling since more than 10 years now and its really capable of dragging heavyweight uphill or giving a hard tug to reposition vehicle with jerks, as sometimes you need these jerks when straight recovery isn't possible. @Mujtaba @Melvin Martin now you know when buying your next webbing, brand rating and width is very important than breaking them frequently.
  15. Hi Gordon, we have another senior techy from Ireland @Barry you are not alone now, lolol For calliper painting, if I may suggest opting for powder coating instead will last very long and also looks nicer than the paint. My friend has used http://rainbowpowdercoatings.com/ for his wheels and he was pretty happy with the pricing and quality offered

  17. Welcome to the crazy future advancements of Digitized Protection Film seems like quite an innovative way to take the conventional Paint Protection Film to the next level. Actually the job of paint protection film was to wrap the car with same or different color for protecting the original car paint. Later that advancement has taken to another level when people started using the car paint protection film for decorative and temporary color change purposes, like we have seen nice body wrap of UAE flag and its colors during the national day. Now this digitized protection film is going to surpass all level of imagination, if its true what it looks like in this instagram video.
  18. All it takes is maximum 2-3 drives to really unleash all its power in your hand. It just that your work schedule is not letting that happen
  19. 16” Rim-265/70/16 = 30.6 Inch 17” Rim-265/65/17 = 30.6 Inch 18” Rim-265/60/18 = 30.5 Inch 19” Rim-270/55/19 = 30.7 Inch 20” Rim-265/50/20 = 30.4 Inch You can calculate your stock tire height first and then upgrade to any other wheel size + downgrade the profile of tire to result in overall similar height, to avoid any rubbing issues. Here's how to calculate tire height Example: 16” Rim-265/70/16 = 30.6 Inch 265 x 70% = 185.5 mm (One side profile height of tire) 185.5 x 2 = 371 mm (up and down profile height of tire) 371 mm = 37.1 cm = 14.6 Inch (Total profile height of tire in Inches) 14.6 Inch + 16 Inch Wheel = 30.6 Inch total tire height
