We always do the optional BBQ next to the track which is closer to the road, so that anyone can leave immediately after the drive or little later as per their convenience.

Yes @luwaimn we plan to have 4-5 hours of offroad drive in that area first and then end with a family BBQ. @razeen hasan there is a Mosque in Tawi Nazwa area near to the meeting point. @Rahimdad can confirm if that Mosque has Friday prayer or not. If not I'm sure you can get Friday Prayer in Lahbab area, as there are several bigger mosque near the Lahbab roundabout, which is just 5 minutes drive from the meeting point. Totally agree, finding these buggers are the hardest part. In my wife Trail Blazer, there is constant rattling from behind the passenger seat and it's been two years I have tried all the guesswork to find the culprit, but failed.

Sorry @Faiz khan if you are still at newbie level, then this drive would be a big and unsafe jump for you and your car. Anyone who has driven at least 1 fewbie drive with Carnity without any difficulties will qualify for this fewbie+ level.

Which area have you done before and which 4x4 you drive?

For the tire and alignment issue, you can go to Future tyres with my highest recommendation. For steering being tight, explain to them and see if it's related due to some mechanical issue, if not you need to show your steering to a mechanic who can inspect the steering pump and advise accordingly.

Here is the easiest, fastest and safest way to fix a tyre pop out in less than 5 minutes: Tools required: Wooden plank/Jack board/plate Hydraulic Scissors Jack Air Compressor Shovel Water Steps involved: Move the vehicle "VERY SLOWLY" to flat ground. If you do it fast, then the inner (behind the tire) seam will also come out and make the pop out repair more difficult and sometimes impossible. Find a good jacking point and place a big wooden plank just under it - on perfectly flat ground. You can move the board a few times to flatten the sand so that jack sits on the flat ground. Place the jack on the board safely and lift the jack, just enough to regain the tire shape and then dig little under the tire. If you lift too much, then chances of tipping the jack are higher. Clean the open seam properly with water, run the fingers inside to make sure no sand is sticking inside the tire as that will leak the air while inflating. Inflate the tire with the air compressor and hold the open seam outward with little strength. Don't shake or use too much strength as jack might tip. When seam starts sitting in place, you will hear a loud/soft pop that means tire seam has been properly seated in its place and you can drive back normal. SAFETY WARNINGS: If you have a jack stand, use it under the axle. If you have a spare jack use it under the axle for safety. While the vehicle is lifted with jack, avoid any jittery move like slamming the door, closing the hood, getting in or out the car, this might cause jack to tip and cause serious injuries. While the vehicle is lifted with jack, NEVER EVER put your head, hand, legs or any body part under the car or under the tire. You can fix the tire from the side as shown in the picture above.

From 21K to change the CVT to 8.5K for repairing seems big relief, but it still looks quite pricey for gear rebuild. Have you got the quote from Hoorani guys in shj? I think I paid around 2K for Accord gear rebuild long ago

The 16-inch tire is better for offroading, but 17 inch is also not too bad. You can upgrade to an inch height more to get more rubber and a bigger footprint in 17 inches. I had 17 on my LC and with Michelin if perform really well. Yokohama Geolander and Michelin are my two favorite brands. Geolander gives you best for offroading for rocks and sand with minimal road noise. Michelin will give you best in the sand (not much on rocks) with no road noise. Instead of wasting money on downsizing rim, you can look into lifting the car by 2 inches either by offroad suspension or by a spacer (separate topic to discuss).

Isn't the cold air intake better, so let's make them little more colder and give more dense air straight into intake. If it helps in drag, we can test it too in the hill climb.

In my opinion of tire brands, Dunlop Grandtrek is the worst of tire for offroading and I had plenty of pop out in first my first year of offforading on LC + Grandtrek. Changed to Michelin and pop out was a history. Dunlop Grandtrek AT20 and AT22 both are bad when deflated to 12 PSI, and you can't enjoy dune bashing much at 14 and above
