Please clarify that it actually doing missing or rough idling? There is a fine line between these two terms. So google the causes for both and watch few videos to co-relate that which one is present in your Pajero. If it is rough idling means rpm is dancing or fluctuating too, then most certainly you need to replace ICV - Idle Control Valve. Search this forum with ICV and you will get my old thread and the similar saga of trying an incompetent workshop with no guaranteed results. In the end, I bought that ICV for 500-600 dhs from habtoor and changed myself in 10 minutes as it is sticking very much outside with 2-3 nut bolts and wiring connector.

I'm not sure on the price as that keep on changing depending on the private deal or buying from a dealer. What I can help advise you is never trust any soul while buying a car if you don't see the full-service history with the stamp and dates, as over 75% seller claim that they have full-service history and in end make some excuses. So don't fall for the car that has no service records: First, you don't know whether it has been maintained with Mercedes dealer or any equally competent workshop Second, you don't know if it's driven 200K and odometer reversed to 100k for better resale - It's a crime. Third, with service history, you know what all major defects/recalls or high price consumables have been changed lately.

Btw next to Jabal Tokyo inside the gully, there is last and second last shop on the right side also keep this gen Pajero scrap, try them. They are very nice and friendly guys, really helpful too. For metal bumper, I agree with DD if installed professionally with the rubber bumper in front then it's allowed 7 out of 10 times and 3 times they still might fail you. With your gen Pajero approach angle design is the most awesome and you will never generally break the bumper unless some serious mishap happens. I'm driving mine for 8 years and even in worst of impact, I bent the bash plate and not the bumper.

I agree totally. First, it's not feasible and second it's not yet matured to replace the IC - referring what desertdude said low hanging fruit with big drama and noise to push down people's throat and tree huggers.

I totally agree and even if it does remotely then we are talking about 125 million vs 2 Billion = 1 (EV) :16 (IC) ratio by 2035-40
