Just to clarify another point on Japanese 4X4 (at least) front airbag won't pop with the nose dive unless the impact reach the crush zone. I had a nasty nose dive at a 50-60 degree angle on LC100 but the airbag didn't pop. After that got the airbag sensor checked and everything was fine, but the impact didn't reach the crush zone and hence airbag sensor didn't fire the signal. The bottom-line is that front airbags don't deploy with minor front impact unless there is an accident and hence front airbag need is even more imp for off-road

Good topic @DP1011 to compile this crucial information at one place. Just to clarify as Fredy already mentioned, we only emphasis and insist on disabling Side Airbags on US and EU origin brands, Japanese manufacturer mastered the side airbag very well and they don't deploy on crisscrossing. Front airbag is safety requirement, and one should NOT disable it, as it can save your life in case of nasty accident or frontal roll-over. Even on higher level drives, one should not disable front airbag, please.

Response 1: My feeling regarding that is, if the manufacturer saw it to be beneficial, it would have been sold like that as standard. Correct Intake Manifold Vacuum is crucial, and I won't mess about with that. Just make sure your pcv valve is working correctly you should be fine. But whether it's beneficial or not, I can't advise as I dont have it myself. Response 2: The biggest issue is the oil and exhaust gasses that mix and form a paste/build up in the intake manifold on diesels. I ran a provent 200 in my ps sport while it was still under warranty and no issues from Mitsubishi. I later also got rid of the egr, with the catch can I had nou oil in my inatke system and intercooler. Just fit something proper like a provent or a flashlube Still nothing solid with yes/no.

lol Dont get hung up on Liwa, really. As you need a ride that you can enjoy 12 months rather than once a year. Liwa is not a big deal depending on which level drive you join, we have seen all size and shapes of cars doing liwa every year.

Learn how to drive manual gear in dunes, especially for self recovery. Bit difficult to adapt in beginning but stick to basics - no half clutch and you will be good without burning any clutch.

Engine switching off completely while driving
Gaurav replied to Chathura's topic in Chevrolet General Discussion Forum in UAE
When car switches off, does it display any error messages on dashboard? Does it happen in stop and go traffic? With AC or without AC too? Is car regularly services? If not first doubt goes to spark plugs, faulty ICV, weak battery/alternator along with 10 other parts. Best is to get fully diagnose with OBD adapter when it switches off and which see fault code it register, so you can exactly pin-point the root cause. -
