  1. if you can get you hands on a multimeter then you can sort if +ive is missing or the -ive is missing then from there we could help you reach somewhere...if you are installing them from scratch then better to go to a sound electrician so they can handle the job better....
  2. You can just open up fill plugs and put a finger in to check the level and also the viscosity I am doubtful that it's bad unless bashed hard off road or reversed kms or parked up to the doors in water for a good time....
  3. It will not lift until you put spacers or a harder lifted spring or adjust the torsion bars if it has them....
  4. shouldn't the fox guys be giving you the kit instead of only shocks and those shocks might have to be changed if you lifting the car...
  5. yes brother if not his job then some other job will come up just keep hopes high...
  6. if you don't off road hard or have leaks and that transfer case and the diff are not using some magical oil then leave it its fine....most of the company also recommends changing all rubber pipes at 170k and all those sensors and actuators at 250k too might as well change the car itself when you reach 350k... there is moisture problems when oil is left out inside those components but those heavy oils change very minutely in properties with moisture and still do what they are supposed to do just fine....
  7. we 2 are already in the gang brother....☺️
  8. didnt knew that this name would also be hanging on other cars
  9. If you use the right oil and change oil exactly on time or Lil bit before time with original filter then no need to do anything
  10. That 96 2k Rav is a hot cake seen them most on uaq and rak and ajman side I myself know of 8 homes having that exact shape or coupe of Rav which comes out when it's raining although most are with expired registration As we go towards the Sharjah dxb side then the count is high for the shanabs and Hilux I am not biased never here or anywhere else have I recommended anyone to get a Rav for off roading use but have implimented that whatever you have at hand will do and myself would love to get my hands on a Jeep Cherokee until time permits it's Rav which is gonna row me there
  11. Here if it shows then it sells The customer mostly breaks down work to amount of money which is spent they don't care however the work was carried out... Worst case I saw silicone on head gasket the customer had rebuild it recently somewhere in Ajman The saying goes well reap what you sow...
  12. all the troopers i have seen are only manuals definitely the part sides is really bad had to wait for around 2 months until the customer found a used distributor (delco) as some know it
  13. 6 out of 10 farms here have a rav to run local errands and many houses have them they come out in rainy season so their electronics loaded cars wont get cold and flu @desertdude can confirm this claim he is located at RAK other then that i have seen mercs 4matics with 900 tyres lexus awds LS430 IS 300 and 350 and GS 350 and 430 awds old chevy saloons astro vans and toyota sienna, old corolla celica , subis
  14. i guess anything can do anything if you patience and are daring enough... but to have the flow easy and smooth learning having more power is never a bad idea....
  15. if there is no passengers then you can remove the front passenger seat too but whatever you trying to haul should not protrude out the windows
  16. The head gasket not only seals the cylinders but also seals the oil and coolent in between the head and block so there can be gasket failure yet you might find compression numbers up to company specs... compression test only indicates how well a displacement chamber is sealed if you have the factory numbers to compare them with....and just incase there is a leak in the chamber you can further diagnose it to pin point it to rings or valves by pouring some engine oil in it to seal the Piston sides and get new readings and compare those with dry readings If the misfire is continuous then you should check the flow pattern and spray quantity of injectors P.s if only driving on and off road and being a cloud nine machanic has made you loose your rocker then you really don't have the slightest idea of profanity, rage and inventions of swearing up and down goes through. when working for one too many days and yet sometimes being still on square 1 feels like . Or being in middle of something really delicate and that tool slides through in to the engine bay and you using up all the scheduled time only to find that instead of fixing it .or stripping of that bolt which is placed in that corner of the world where only your 2 finger goes only to feel it's head and a spanner only runs quarter of a inch This work has turned me swearing like a sailor but I try really hard to be as professional and all ears so I can be remembered with good words and good works
  17. Did you actually remove the fuel pump relay when the compression test was done...? Let me check those numbers with the factory service manual specs will post them here tomorrow when I am at shop There is a coolent analysis kit which changes color if there is combustion chemistry escaping into the cooling system...it's available at sedana Sharjah but is quite expensive somewhere in the north of 300. I once bought it for diagnosis of a Lc which had a very weird heating issue which was making me confused between radiator , clutch fan, water pump and the head but after using the kit had to pop the head.
  18. There are good and bad rent car shops for sure a friend of mine had flipped his car in the early days of Emirates road there was no lights so he didn't know where he was speeding into he just called the insurance guys who came to him with another car and took care of the rest of the matter And sometimes later on we friends took a car from a cheap shop near spenneys it could be that someone had hit it in the parking and run away it was barely visible we didn't even know it was there but when we returned the car that guy after doing rounds straight came to that spot and pointed at it and was asking 1k to open the file and give the car to insurance for repair or else he wasn't giving us the passport after some back and forth and threatening we weren't budging I called in a relative who was in anjad and he sorted it out and made us cough up 200 for it as according to him we didn't check that the spot was there or not before getting the car so brothers be careful when getting rent a cars.
