  1. all the troopers i have seen are only manuals definitely the part sides is really bad had to wait for around 2 months until the customer found a used distributor (delco) as some know it
  2. 6 out of 10 farms here have a rav to run local errands and many houses have them they come out in rainy season so their electronics loaded cars wont get cold and flu @desertdude can confirm this claim he is located at RAK other then that i have seen mercs 4matics with 900 tyres lexus awds LS430 IS 300 and 350 and GS 350 and 430 awds old chevy saloons astro vans and toyota sienna, old corolla celica , subis
  3. i guess anything can do anything if you patience and are daring enough... but to have the flow easy and smooth learning having more power is never a bad idea....
  4. if there is no passengers then you can remove the front passenger seat too but whatever you trying to haul should not protrude out the windows
  5. The head gasket not only seals the cylinders but also seals the oil and coolent in between the head and block so there can be gasket failure yet you might find compression numbers up to company specs... compression test only indicates how well a displacement chamber is sealed if you have the factory numbers to compare them with....and just incase there is a leak in the chamber you can further diagnose it to pin point it to rings or valves by pouring some engine oil in it to seal the Piston sides and get new readings and compare those with dry readings If the misfire is continuous then you should check the flow pattern and spray quantity of injectors P.s if only driving on and off road and being a cloud nine machanic has made you loose your rocker then you really don't have the slightest idea of profanity, rage and inventions of swearing up and down goes through. when working for one too many days and yet sometimes being still on square 1 feels like . Or being in middle of something really delicate and that tool slides through in to the engine bay and you using up all the scheduled time only to find that instead of fixing it .or stripping of that bolt which is placed in that corner of the world where only your 2 finger goes only to feel it's head and a spanner only runs quarter of a inch This work has turned me swearing like a sailor but I try really hard to be as professional and all ears so I can be remembered with good words and good works
  6. Did you actually remove the fuel pump relay when the compression test was done...? Let me check those numbers with the factory service manual specs will post them here tomorrow when I am at shop There is a coolent analysis kit which changes color if there is combustion chemistry escaping into the cooling system...it's available at sedana Sharjah but is quite expensive somewhere in the north of 300. I once bought it for diagnosis of a Lc which had a very weird heating issue which was making me confused between radiator , clutch fan, water pump and the head but after using the kit had to pop the head.
  7. There are good and bad rent car shops for sure a friend of mine had flipped his car in the early days of Emirates road there was no lights so he didn't know where he was speeding into he just called the insurance guys who came to him with another car and took care of the rest of the matter And sometimes later on we friends took a car from a cheap shop near spenneys it could be that someone had hit it in the parking and run away it was barely visible we didn't even know it was there but when we returned the car that guy after doing rounds straight came to that spot and pointed at it and was asking 1k to open the file and give the car to insurance for repair or else he wasn't giving us the passport after some back and forth and threatening we weren't budging I called in a relative who was in anjad and he sorted it out and made us cough up 200 for it as according to him we didn't check that the spot was there or not before getting the car so brothers be careful when getting rent a cars.
  8. That's a magic stick use that on anyside and see the traffic move faster in that lane....😂
  9. Jast keep an eye on oil level stick and the place where you park overnight
  10. The keep calm part I have got covered lately am working on the listening to advise part
  11. you know you're getting old when the cars you learned to drive on are no longer on the streets....☺️
  12. faced many issues from break pads flying off belts breaking off to broken radiators and oil sumps' axles missing their balls to clutch cylinder and pressure plate failure tyre having a bulge the size of tennis ball if you just keep calm you might reach home safely without much fuss
  13. after digging around i found that the ecm there is of a nissan ad or also sentra probably after 1982 to 1998 anyway i got a wiring diagram its of ga16de and sr20 the diagram is attached below hope this helps if not try to bring in more details then might come up with something l wiring diagrams.pdf
  14. what model is it ? (in old toyota models they used to put abbreviations of connections on the board itself just open and see if that one has it too then we can help ) or else this car seems market specific will be tough to find a factory service manual unless you cough up more info like engine number and model
  15. the guy who sold me the the clutch kit told me that valeo was the fastest moving clutch kit followed by ac delco then the occasional mopar clutch kit which was the highest in price of them all yes the flywheel was skimmed it had glazing marks from the last clutch yes sure there was a problem with s kumar's jeep it had a driver who had prior experience driving a mitsubishi canter on road and the transition from on road to off road wasn't that smooth but now he and the jeep have reached a mutual understanding where they both into real kinky stuff ☺️
  16. the last clutch kit for skumar's cherokee was of valeo and made in mexico or the usa i don't exactly remember that..
  17. not talking about cheap aftermarket ones talking about spec 3 which is about 4.5k aed here and if you bring it from outside its cheaper and is for heavy duty application had installed it on a cherokee comes with flywheel pressure plate clutch pilot bearing and is a charm to drive feels like the clutch is very light and there is a weight difference in both the flywheels @skumar83 don't worry i do have a manual driving licence and get to drive them time to time so my shifting is polished
  18. shipping is always expensive from usa.....hey while you are at it why don't you import spec 3 sports clutch kit for the cherokee
  19. the atf oil is toyota t4 if you put any other oil then you are shortening the life of the transmission and the engine is 2az fe which should run fine if you put any good quality 10w40 oil but keep in mind that it's a timing chain driven engine just change it on or before time and all will be good
  20. if its a 4 cyl engine then the gearbox will need around 4.5 liters of atf oil and if its a 6 cyl then it should take 5.5 liters of atf oil it needs a special atf oil : toyota atf W/S which should be 45 per liter and around 145 to 160 per 4 liter tin gallon the lower sump gasket should be for 45 or 50 and the gear filter around 145 to 155 the labour should be around 130 to 160 for fixing the filter and replacing the oil the oil needs to be changed every 45 to 50k and filter tossed at every alternating change if you do towing or off roading then the oil needs to be changed at every 30 to 35k
  21. if that's the case then we do see crazy hulk sized engine mounted on lcs and petrol doing the moreeb dune in one go but do you wanna bet if it can cross from ajman to dubai by road without breaking down or burning up in flames...
