  1. or maybe there is a duct missing its cap around the firewall....
  2. if its really full of gunk then even the filter change or the spray trick won't do you will have to tear down the dash and get the evap out and leave it in the tub of soap solution so the gunk will loosen up after that give it a full wash and fix it back in and recharge the system....
  3. @sertac while tailgating a tiida you pushed that guys trunk up in the rear seat but sure you wasnt tailgating it was just he came in your way...☺️ those big flashy cars think they own the road but it ain't like that the occasional crazy ones teach them the lesson ☺️
  4. @skumar83 driving a jeep you are one of the tailgaters....
  5. motorola units are expensive when i asked they were selling at 200+ so that's why i got the baofeng one and am using it without any issues was once in deep trouble for being immobile and was really far from the convoy searching for something but when i tried to reach the convoy with the radio they sure did heard me and came to save the day....you all know which day i am talking about ☺️
  6. if you own a beater your heart wont hurt as much if you just let them smack it a little ☺️
  7. beware of used car guys getting it done as they might slip you a chassis repaired thing in disguise had a customer come in awhile ago he had bought this jeep a not so late model from a showroom somewhere sharjah for really bad vibration when we checked we noticed that the front chassis was just cut and paste and the work was also real bad not a professional one. when we took it for the chassis guys to take a look they said the work had to be done again and this guy had bought it 3 days ago and the paperwork was completely taken care of by this showroom guy guess he used connections to get it passed. i said him to take the car back and return it as he had got it bit expensive and would cost more to fix. later on i heard that he had taken the matter to police and the showroom guy and those who did the passing were in trouble....
  8. oh yes thank you @Rahimdad add that too on some pajeros when you remove the battery terminal the abs and traction goes angry
  9. and the number from uaq have a shady reputation.... the opposite works if you have land ownership paper or home contract or a visa from the same emirate based on these you can get the number plates
  10. apart from radio channels and clock and some random lights with system low voltage codes ls 460, is 250, 300 and 350 200t remove battery terminals without completing the remove procedure and navigation, radar cruise and afs gone you want it to run go to dealer or use techstream lc and lexus later models remove battery terminal and sometimes the a/c servo motors go cucu you have to initialize them or they be blowing mixed or hot air or the foot side air might come through the defogger vents hiace, camry and rav the latter drive by wire ones remove battery terminal and most of the times its stalling until it gains back with a/c and without a/c isv values, transmission shift points and fuel mixture settings had a tough time convincing the customer that nothing is wrong but you need to drive the car only and in the end had to drive the thing myself for around 2 hrs until it stopped stalling most toyota and lexus clean the throttle body and the rpm can go up as much as 2.5k and gives bad jerks at shifts might even break weak mounts until relearns new values most of nissan's and infiniti's clean throttle body or change the accelerator pedal or throttle body and the rpms get messed up use manual trick or use scanner to program the idle air volume the nissans and infinitis specially those with the capsule type black keys they have a nasty habit of forgetting the key programs when removing the battery terminals some american cars go into immobilizer lock down mode when removed battery some german cars not shifting above 1st gear after removing the battery terminal the range rover terminal removal had ended up in complete no shift with funny slipping noise which was sorted by removing a fuse and fixing it back i usually check if they have a procedure then do that its better and for other cars that i don't have access to oem tools i put a keep alive 9 v battery connected to the cigarette lighter place and then work my way around it its way better than discovering that the shit has hit the fan and you wasting time to clean that up... above all data has been collected by personal experience
  11. your so called bmws and range rovers are equipped with many modules even for tiny useless things too but 80% of japanese cars usually share the ecu and tcm in one module so may be you also gonna wipe out ckp learned patterns and or isv learned values along with the shift patterns so the car will act really different or might stall until those values set in battery terminal removal might be ok for pajero but for some late models its gonna be a visit to the dealer or with access to oem scanners unless you complete the battery removal procedure and then attempt to remove the battery just change your driving habit and give it some time it will adapt to your new aggressive style you are not gonna be racing on the streets or cutting corners at high speed here but if you plan on that then this issue is really small there are many other things which you can do to gain real power....
  12. no need to reset as in some cars many other things get messed up...just keep a heavy foot and race attitude and voila in few days it'll turn from a donkey to a horse....☺️
  13. bmws and mercedes rovers audis vws porsches are for cold climate they have a bad time adjusting here they are good only for 4 or 5 years after that all hell breaks loose i had one guy he imported his merc s600 and when i told him that he needed to remove the gear to fix the converter leak he was like this is a new car it has warranty and i told him the warranty is in germany not here and you have to fix it yourself ghargash won't do it for free as they have not sold it to you...and later on the auto close feature of the rear and driver door broke that also he fixed here its actuator is really delicate it just breaks if door is handled harsh as of late the issues of leaks oil, air or even coolant usually pops out in mostly newer cars in places which is usually unheard of in older cars
  14. yes diffs have seen then go in jiffy literally just outside the shop at about 100 meters the cars just big boom and then lots of sound and oil dripping it was a cherokee with a supra engine....the owner just came out and was scratching his head....
  15. the parts are rare and very expensive and when you buy a new it has nothing in it just a wooden bench in the driver side no dashboard nothing in the interior and its a rough minimum 3 to 5k in fixing those things only a driver door costs 1500 at scrap so who gonna need those heap of junk which i agree has lot of torque but almost no speed....
  16. for luxus we usually to guys opposite rotana and sometimes behind yasmin building there are many shops dealing with stereo system they charge and put in the maps in hdd or cds then run them for you try there you might get somewhere
  17. i have made a habit of not touching them altogether as one of our teachers said leave them as they are and you keep yourself vigilant because some customers don't mind but some would get pissed about it... and my desert cart has a missing center mirror but its useful the high beams at night are avoided....
  18. they are biased so i stopped watching altogether....
  19. there is a manual way to get the idle learning but you have to get your hands on the FSM but that is usually a hit and miss if somehow you can get a scanner then you can do it easily just by pressing some buttons on scanner....
  20. Tr @treks my father has been working in this field since he didn't had mustache on his face and now he's bald and gray whenever I get stuck I ask him for help and believe me I have been stunned they way he leads things but things weren't like this in his working time....and yet he gets things done when asked....so it's a matter of understand and not missing the details...

  22. when a customer comes to me with any car i first of all try to understand the concern and then if i can do it then take the car in and believe me i have had a hell of a time sometimes diagnosing the fault i also have some contacts with whom i also discuss the problems and all in all its a very small car no fix return rate.... if you understand the mechanism and have the diagrams of wiring then there should be no problem to solve it and usually we get stuck at the programing side or the codings in vag cars thats almost always outsourced that way i don't have to funk up funny dollars in subscription fees for only a specific car that comes in say 4 or 5 times a year... i have had single cylinder bikes to rolls royce at my shop... in short i agree with @Barry on this one....
  23. @baselsm83 oh ho where have you been long time no photo no sound...?
  24. don't worry if you have carnity member and they really have patience. you will learn almost everything just give it some time and practice...
