Some of the Netflix OC is OK. I enjoyed bird box and room. But I agree, a lot of it is making movies just for the sake of making movies. Movies purely for killing time that never seem to go anywhere or have a proper ending. And they seem to have some sort weird deal with Adam sandler going on.

There’s only one exotic there? It’s one thing seeing nice cars on the road every day, it’s another when you can work on and drive them every day. You get to experience things there’s no way in hell you could otherwise afford. 

Nissan CVTs are a different breed. The oil cooling in them is inadequate and they usually start to give problems around 60k. Sure, there are people who have bigger mileages on them but as someone who works on cars, I wouldn’t touch one. Nissan seem to have no intention of rectifying the problems either. They have so much money invested into the R&D of their CVTs that they can’t back out now.

I watched the platform last night. Definitely a weird one. Still haven’t decided if I enjoyed it or not. 

No danger of me getting any time off. As long as there are vehicles on the road I will have to work. Wife is currently working from home and I’m out working every day so it kind of makes her working at home pointless. I get the feeling there is no planning or method to any of this, it’s just futile gestures to appease the panicked masses.

I’m thinking about cancelling my subscription soon. There’s just too much stuff missing off it. UAE is way behind on their lists. Most of the time I’ll watch a few series then have to stream the rest somewhere else to finish it. 

I’ve heard that alcohol kills the corona virus so I’ve decided to make an experiment and consume as much as possible tonight for the benefit of all humanity and share the results with carnity. It will either go spectacularly right or spectacularly wrong. Will update with results.

I’m all in favour of bringing back codpieces and reliving the good old heavy metal days. Definitely not a bel air btw. Headlight configuration is wrong. Looks like a pickup in the picture but then again could be something modified into a pickup. Whatever it is, it’s not on any of the lists of cars that were in the movie. Definitely agree it’s yank though, too wide to be anything else.

It would surprise you how much space is in a Ka when you put the seats back. You just have to watch out for the handbrake. 

I’m sure some of you will have seen the diesel brothers show on discovery. I’ve watched a few episodes and it was all pretty cringe. They seem to lack imagination and build the same thing over and over again too, big Cummins or powerstroke rollin coal, military axles and tyres, usually throw on a cab extension, paint the whole thing with bed liner. 
 

They have been fined $851,451 (oddly specific number) for blatantly flouting EPA pollution laws with their builds.

The roadsters are pretty cool. You don’t see many of them around. I got arrested in a Ford Ka once. I won’t tell you what I was doing because it’s a family friendly forum but you can use your imagination. Lovely girl called rose. She was on the larger side so my friends used to call her whole lotta rosie like the AC/DC song.

Ka is rare in UAE but it’s not exactly a unicorn. Thousands of them in Ireland and UK. Fun car to drive. Like a little go kart.

Same body shell as the Sierra XR4i but it was released under the Merkur brand in USA. Ford didn’t want to sell it under the Sierra brand as GMC already had the Sierra pickup. We got them in two tone colour scheme. The big difference with the Merkur is that it came with a turbocharged 4 cylinder 2.3 Pinto as opposed to the XR4i which had a V6 2.8 Cologne which makes it pretty rare. This was my XR4i,

Only the XR4i had the split rear quarter light window. Standard 3 door Sierras (including the RS Cosworth) had a one piece window. 

4 way is a bit complicated if you have no experience of setting up suspension, it’s a pretty steep learning curve. First you need to understand what it means and what the settings do. 

You have,

Low speed damping. This controls how the suspension compresses in normal use and is used to stop you from bottoming out after a single jump 

Low speed rebound. This controls how fast the suspension will extend after being compressed in normal use

High speed rebound. This controls how fast the suspension will extend after being compressed multiple times, ie if you’re driving over rough ground and bouncing up and down

High speed damping control. This controls how fast the suspension compresses after hard impacts, ie bouncing over rocks

Like I said, I know nothing about for setting up for off road but for on road, the most simple way to put it is for understeer, make the back harder and the front softer and for oversteer make the back softer and the front harder. It’s just going to be a matter of playing with things until you find something that suits your car and your driving style but if you have half an idea of what the settings do you have a fighting chance.
