The rule here is simple, you are not allowed to use the hard shoulder except for vehicle breakdown or in case of accident and moving the cars to the hard shoulder to free the traffic. However this rule is open to interpretation by the Police person in question. Some may be in a good mood and allow you to do so without any issues, some might stop you to hassle you and waste your time to show you the value of time lost vs time saved. In some cases however some of the Police Officers are intolerant towards usage of the hard shoulder and would directly fine you without saying a word. My advise is to be safe than sorry and do not use the hard shoulder except in emergencies. Some times you might get lucky, but don't make it a habit.

As Barry rightly put it, you have to get down and dirty and start somewhere. On my Honda Civic DX 1991 model I changed the Fuel Pump also, but that was a manual one and not one of those electric circuit boards for the Electronic Fuel Injection. You would never know until you don't try. Changing a MAF sensor was easy on my Disco 1, 1998 model, some people would hesitate to charge a battery also with the fear of a shock or burn.

All very good thoughts through experience, I would only like to add that in the summers I would recommend to keep the tire pressure a couple of PSI down than recommended specially if you have a long drive planned as in the summers the tires tend to add a 2-3 PSI while long hot drive. Just my 0.02 cents.

My favorite Porshe to date was the 911 Turbo Cabriolet which Saaed Al Hijri from Qatar drove in the 1980's, with its Rothman stickers. I have loved Porshe 911's since.

Although we might have picked up a needle in the hay stack, but Gaurav bhai's initiative to get this posted in 7 Dyas in recommendable. I agree with @brandon try to get with little or no mods. There is a saying, Jeeps are not bought, Jeeps are built. Modify them as you please.

As per the info given to me by my friends who drive the Wrangler, for manual gears the best models came from 1999 to 2004, as they were the work horse gears 5 speed manuals, from 2005 onwards they made it the 6 speed manuals which have a different gear ratio. If you are going for the automatic any model will do, however I would prefer to have the 4.0 Liter engine than the 3.8 or 3.6 Penta Star, BTW, I read somewhere on this forum that after about 120K Kms it develops a knocking which you can read more about in the Jeep Wrangler Forum. OMG, The bike might be standing getting bored and take off for a ride of its own.I hate the driverless concept, took me over 2 years to get my license for this sh!t.

My uncle had the Mitsubishi Pajero 1985 version, the drivers seat had springs similar to that on the Merc to keep the driver nice and comfy in any terrain.

@desertdude Stop giving excuses, you stopped any and all kind of drives after the Al Ain Lisali drive where it took us over an hour to cross 500 meters.

My uncle used to own the 500SEL back in 1982 and his number plate was A 242. I still remember it, we used to go to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and most long drives in this beauty. My other uncle in 1984 than bought the 280SE. The good old days. And yes @nutbolt this guy has kept it in pristine condition. Another few favorites of mine used to be the Chevy Caprice Classic, Ford Crown Victoria and the Buick Park Avenue.

It is an import and comes by the name of Toyota Solara and not Camry, it has also got a convertable version which I have seen a few in Sharjah area .

No wonder Mr Bean used to put a padlock on his padlock on his Mini 1000.

@Gaurav Sirjee, I was going through another forum and read a post that might help you with your vibration issue. I Quote: Hi all im new here hope someone can assist. I have a 2001 NM Pajero 3.5 Petrol Engine. Since buying this vehicle a few months back the engine has a shake on idle. Recently i have converted the vehicle to LPG so it runs both fuels via a switch. I still get this shake using LPG fuel. I have played with the idle screw upping the revs but ECU relearns its idle so it goes back to normal after a couple of days. I have been trying to resolve this problem for a while now but no luck as yet. Plugs and leads were replaced just over a month ago with genuine mitsu items. This is what i did today. I lifted the rear of the trany still get the vibration/shake. Lifted the front of the engine still get the vibes. Checked balancer no wobble observed. Other parts i have swaped which i had access too as follows. Complete set of Ignition coils. EFI Temp Sensor. Throttle Position Sensor. Ingiter the item that sits next to the coils. O2 sensor was done the other day. Basically all the sensors except the Airflow Meter cause we couldn't find it where it was stored. Removed throttle body and gave it a good clean with throttle body cleaner even though it was already cleaned. Cleaned PVC valve. ISC checked and working. Re checked all hoses for leaks. Checked manifolds for leaks as well. Still get the vibes on idle. Next step is to remove the timing cover and check the cam timing. I have a feeling the person who replaced it may have botched the install. Can't believe i spent the whole day on it and no closer to sorting the problem out. Any further tips or advice most welcome I know that you have replaced all sensors and checked out most of the stuff mentioned above if not all. So his next post is more interesting and might hold a solution to your problem. Here goes..... OK now for the conclusion. I have some good news. Its fixed. Took it to my mechanic today we pulled the timing covers off and all the other bits and pieces in front of the engine. Our findings are as follows. Passenger side camshaft was out by one tooth. Tensioner on timing belt loose as a goose the belt had a fair bit of play side to side. Basically since we had it pulled down suggested we replace the timing belt anyway. Timing belt had been replaced by previous owner obviously it wasn't done correctly. I consider myself very lucky the belt didn't jump any further otherwise i would have suffered the good old bent valve syndrome and other damage associated with this. Anyway we put the thing back together and it just purrs like a kitten now. So quiet so smooth even with all the accessories on placing a load on the engine. Such a sigh of relief finally. I have been chasing this problem for a while now and can happily say its sorted. Best part was the cost. All up $300.00 which included the belt and labour associated with this piece of work.
