Dune Crossing Tutorial and Techniques
Rahimdad replied to Frederic's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
There are several ways to cross a dune. We always start with the easiest which is straight up and straight down. Slowly but surely we test your side slopping technique and control. Once we feel you earned a reputation for doing it cleanly comes the most thrilling part which is criss crossing a dune. It is scary at first, but like everything else once you have perfected your technique you'll be craving for these opportunities. The one on one training is to help you conquer your fear and be more confident with the dos and donts of these tricks and more. You are most welcome to sign up for a module or the discounted 4 hours session to improve on your skills. @Ale Vallecchi is right in pointing out that the video posted is for extreme drives. But once you have done a few intermediate drives this will be a piece of cake you won't be able to live without. -

Every off road driver must know: why you get stuck?
Rahimdad replied to Emmanuel's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
@MlHazim although I don't have pics or video but @Yousef Alimadadi can safely guide you how he crawled out of similar situation 3 weeks back. Needs lots of patience and correct amount of steering and throttle. If not possible due to any reason try to clear the wheels by digging and pulling from front or back as demonstrated by @Frederic. Never pull the car at 90degree angle.- 39 replies

Jeepie (Marjan) has been promoted to Expert level
Rahimdad replied to Gaurav's topic in Off-Road Club's Announcements
Congratulations @Jeepie. I admire the child in you. Still remember the time when at Maliha Adnoc pump a bunch of Enfield bikers arrived. You ran over wearing the Enfield T-shirt to share your enthusiasm with them. You bring the same child like enthusiasm to our community. Not only we see you as one of the first Carnity Lady Marshal, but also the first couple to achieve the Marshal status in the Carnity offroad club. @Gaurav rightly put, it has been my long time dream to have a ladies only drive, now with upcoming talents like @Vanessa8580, @Desert Dweller, @Foxtrot Oscar, @Incognitoes, @Veedooshee and the likes we can truly arrange for a drive for ladies only. -
Wrangeld (Richard) has been promoted to Expert level
Rahimdad replied to Gaurav's topic in Off-Road Club's Announcements
Congratulations @Wrangeld. I will struggle to write something half as good as you, but let me try. Your best quality I feel is that you say what you see and are very transparent about it. You have a nice way to approach and share your feelings. Whether they are good or some feedback about something which can be improved. We know that all you share is due to your concern of making things better and keeping Carnity on the number one spot for a long time to come. Love your endearing smile and please keep the way you are, we love you for the flavour you bring to our community. -
Well done @Srikumar. Completely dedicating yourself week after week. Looking forward to many more disbelievers like you growing under your strong wings to be like you one day.

2015 Durango Radiator coolant leak
Rahimdad replied to Janarthan's topic in Dodge Durango Forum in UAE
It's if a doctor says your baby is bleeding but it's minor and you check over time as it will cost you AED 50k operation to save your baby. Will you walk out? Won't you check with the doctor more details?. Treat your car like your baby. -
Check this one. It's well within your budget @sertac. https://tnydu.biz/DOyebd

Every off-roader must know: What Went Wrong?
Rahimdad replied to Rahimdad's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
Very nicely put @Vanessa8580 and @Kalahari. Spot on. Safety was the last thing on the mind for them. Too many people in the car with lots of distraction for the driver. Safe distance not followed and wrong approach with lack of momentum all were culprits in this gentle flip. Good lessons to learn from this, thank you @desertdude for posting this video. -
2015 Durango Radiator coolant leak
Rahimdad replied to Janarthan's topic in Dodge Durango Forum in UAE
The best place is the person. Who told you about the leak. He already knows and can't charge you for showing you the leak. You don't have to tell him that you're not going to fix it with them. If you go out someone will have to detect something and some of them just b***s*** you so why take that chance. If the service advisor b***s*** you than he's going to get caught if you ask him to show you the leak. My advise to go back and ask them to show you the lrleak and what he means by its not serious and how long before you need to get the work done on it as it's summer and you are genuinely worried. -
2015 Durango Radiator coolant leak
Rahimdad replied to Janarthan's topic in Dodge Durango Forum in UAE
Why would they change the radiator if there is a leak? I'm not so sure. I would try to understand where is the leak and why change the radiator for that? Normally outside leak would be a hose issue for example, so hose needs to be replaced, why radiator? -
Every off-roader must know: What Went Wrong?
Rahimdad replied to Rahimdad's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
I have seen this long time back. I will let the newbies and Fewbies take a crack at what went wrong here. Nowadays most 4x4s are made lighter, with crumple zones and with materials which get effected easily. This could be due to emission levels which they need to control, in the name of safety or just for cost cutting to keep their costs low and profit margins high. Most manufacturers don't make money while selling cars, but from selling spares, this car is going to need all the left side panels at the minimum. -
I was about to call @Ale Vallecchi. The boring lead with no stucks, but @Gaurav bhai called shotgun on that. @asifk your good deed is really well worth any drive. However it is always the case for over heat specially during the summer. It would be good to do some research and add an additional gear oil cooler. Also start experimenting by going lower PSI on your tires. The less the resistance from your tires the less the stress on the engine and gearbox.

2015 Durango Radiator coolant leak
Rahimdad replied to Janarthan's topic in Dodge Durango Forum in UAE
@Janarthan you mentioned the service advisor told you there is a leak. Is your Durrango being serviced at Trading Enterprise? Is it under warranty? Why don't you ask that service advisor to show you the leak and advise you what action needs to be taken? -
Wow all the talent in one convoy. From the capable helping hands of @Frederic and @Wrangeld to their amazing recall in terms if trip reports to the ever famous video from @Yousef Alimadadi. Felt like I was there with you guys and share the excitement through your words and video.

Best way to grow in this sport is to loose count or stop counting and keep learning and start enjoying. Most clubs don't offer genuine reason for the upgrade and thus we designed this structure where everything is in writing and visible to all. You can definitely have a good idea as to how you can keep track of your progress, but ask the people who got promoted, it all depends on your comfortably level. Some learn fast, some learn slow. You might het one part right, but something else needs polishing, we will never risk promoting you to the next level if we are not sure that you can handle the previous level well and your learning curve is going upwards direction. Just enjoy, learn and let the time and experience take you to the next level.
