Thanks for sharing. @Javier M for the Toyota Fortuner he was just trying to drift so the whole wait of the vehicle was on the right side at the point he came across a slight decline and the gravity did the rest. When you're thinking about Infinity you're bringing in lots of computers. From my point of view computers and electronics don't go well with sand. I would enjoy it on road, but not really use it off road.

Sounds amazing @desertdude. I remember listening to Jhankar beats which were sick, they were just some beats added on to the songs to make them sound fuglier than their original ones. You have given this old song new life, it sounds very much modern and still carries the old vibe, well done.

@Arsalan Ehsan like @Gaurav bhai put it, you know your financial challenges better and you need to make that decision, however the Prado is definitely a good buy. You can always ask and make the necessary modifications if you determine off-roading is the sport for you. Just to answer your questions, I am a big fan of the Pajero and yet it puts me off for desert driving for a few reasons. Mainly it is the low over hang bumpers that they come with, but that is an easy a cheap fix. Another thing is that the pre-2014 models have an up-shifting problem which means you cannot keep it in the 1st gear when required, it automatically shifts to the second gear thus you loose your momentum, however it is brilliant on-road and a very safe car. Maintaining it with an external garage is much cheaper than maintaining it with the Dealership. An example, I found out that the major service with Al Habtoor Motors would cost me AED 4000+. I got all the jobs to be done, purchased the necessary parts with them and fixed a rate with the garage to change all oils, coolant,timing belt, and it cost me extra because a couple of pulleys had also given in. The whole thing cost me less than AED 1000/-. Carnity has been amazing for me to find out more about my car and carry the services out at a much lower cost saving at least AED 1000s of Dirhams in maintenance and repair costs. I love the Xterra as well and now we have 4 in the club, the off-road version is the one with the difflock and is definitely better than the stock version, bit if the price difference is too much and if you cannot afford it is not a deal breaker. However the rear shock for the X-Terra are the leaf springs which makes it slightly uncomfortable and a bit loud with regular off-roading, @Emmanuel did spray with some solution which did make a quieter for a bit, maybe he can share his experience better. @Shamil, @Jamy B. and @Asif Hussain are the other X-Terra owners and can give you the low down on their experiences. Don't be in a hurry and you will find plenty of deals going around soon.

I have tried the cheer for the public service workers and health workers around 8 or 9 pm as announced. After banging my cooking utensils for 15 minutes I felt bad. They have long working days and weeks, what if some of them are staying in our vicinity, we might be disturbing them with all our banging and making noise during the little time they have to rest. @Arsalan Ehsan I would not half the miles. Wearable like say brake pads would be more used which means the discs would also be worn out more easily. But the engine and gearbox have already completed 150000 kms as shown and no less. Secondly you haven't lost anything, if you've spent AED 450 it's in good cause. Insha Allah you have a good deal on your hands and will find ways to enjoy your ride for a long time to come. Like @Gaurav bhai said he's already adjusted the price from the market value due to the high mileage and current conditions. Say Bismillah and go through with the deal if your heart allows.

Please make your guesses as to which 4x4 this is based on before you watch the video. My guess was completely off. This really is a tank and cost USD 500k.

My question is If you add a supercharger will the time pass any quicker.

Welcome @Arsalan Ehsan to your very own off road club. I love the Toyota Prado. It's one of my favorites. But 2015 means low bumper over hangs. You can very well managed the newbie drives with no casualties, but what if the sand bug bites you. You will need to cut the low bumper over hangs to manage the Fewbie drives and above. One more thing that comes to mind, it is a piece of machine, what if it breaks down in the middle of the desert. Will you be able to leave the car in the middle of the desert without any fear. If it is only for newbie or Fewbie trips or some odd trip with the family it's fine. But if the sand bug bites you, than you will be be happier with something cheaper and easier to work on. In that case you get to keep your Accord for your daily drives. Just something to keep you thinking. If it clicks you can check the below link to tempt you to the wild side.
