What a pleasure it is to have @Wrangeld and @Jeepie on any trip. While im trying to put my words together the trip report is already posted. Just some points of view I would like to share from my side. When starting in the morning I was feeling a bit down as I'm used to getting my early morning hugs and sharing food and drinks with all. But upon reaching the meeting point just that eye contact with a warm good morning right from everybodies heart melted me right in to the correct frame of mind. Many positives for me to take from this drive. Everybody was on time and we moved out exactly at 7:02 am which gave us a chance to spend more time out in the desert driving. The brief was shorter than usual but it seemed everybody had read through the brief on the forum and was fully aware. @Wrangeld was the one to make the convoy which was amazing as he had the right idea and the convoy managed very well as placed. Having @J J as my second lead, he too has the right idea and saved us some precious time by rerouting as necessary. An after drive chat helped him to realize that every little detail is planned and I was pleased to realize he appreciates it and wants to learn and do more. @Wrangeld and @Jeepie positioned themselves as centre forward which is the most difficult position. With @Rizwanm2 in the sweep to make sure the convoy was moving smoothly and stuck together. Another positive was to meet @Lorenzo Candelpergher, really love your spirit and putting the video together which is so amazing. Just for everybodies knowledge @Lorenzo Candelpergher is a licensed drone pilot. Moreover as everybody has realized by now, 1 hour from the deflation point to the base of Pink Rocks is an amazing feat by all newbies. When asked at the base if they want more, the decision was unanimous with all hands raised high in the air. Instead of our normal 2nd December Cafe exit we continued to Big Red. With some challenges we departed around 11:30 am with all smiles. We inflated and carried on to lock ourselves up in isolation till next week. Really proud of an amazing team which understands and ready to help each other grow in this mystifying sport that brings us together.

Rain adds it own flavour to the drives. Ask @Wrangeld and @Jeepie how much confidence the hard sand gives you in the newbie drives.

Please don't fall for such reviews. Sure it has it short comings, but these so called automotive reporter's do their reports based on how generous these car companies are to them. They are biased. You can mod a Y61 Patrol much better and cheaper, Nissan just charges you handsomely playing on your fear of what if my car doesn't pass after modifying it. Just keep your modifications to the bear minimum you need. Don't go overboard. My car has passed 3 years in a row, but I only get done what I feel is necessary to do without any extras.

If your pockets allow you can travel to the moon and back. But if you want to spend over 10 - 12k in mods on your existing ride to find out you need even more mods later, it better to buy a cheap car for off-roading and trash it at will. Mechanically anything can go wrong with it in the middle of the desert, are you willing to leave you 200k vehicle overnight to return to it the next day to fix and take it home? If you like the V8 power get an old Nissan Armada or Chevy Tahoe or Ford Expedition. Just my opinion.

Based on our recent experiences, we have decided to change few things to honor "RESPECT" and equal opportunities for all off-roaders to join and enjoy off-road drives "SAFELY". All off-road drives will be limited to 15 members only. Due to safety in mind, it is very essential that every drive should not exceed the maximum number of 15 cars in the convoy. Drive posted with higher RSVP count will have multiple Marshals to lead their individual convoy not exceeding the 15 cars / convoy. All drives RSVP will close a day prior. All drive RSVP will either close a day prior or once RSVP limit reached, so that Marshals have enough time to plan the route and convoy numbering. Latecomers will be returned back - NO EXCEPTIONS. Every off-roader MUST attend every briefing with 100% undivided attention. If you are late for any reason, please return back and join the next week drive. Reaching the meeting point on time and then refueling, shopping and doing other chores does not mean that you were on time, you will be left behind. All Marshals are instructed to leave the meeting point - without any grace period. So plan your buffer time in advance. You cannot join the drive at deflation point if you are late, simply return back. Marshals are not allowed to take your calls when you are late and hold the convoy because of your delay. Members without RSVP will be returned back - NO EXCEPTIONS. Every offroader need to RSVP the drive that he/she wish to join for safety reasons. Admin will remove all multiple drives RSVP at "same time", please decide to join any one drive. If you were unable to RSVP the drive, it means drive is full and please do not show up on the meeting point. Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others. Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Trip Report - Convoy 4. As the club grows and blossoms it is time to make some changes in order to improve things which is also a part of the feedback we receive from our members. One of these changes was the change of briefing spot from the meeting spot, so once the clock strike 7 am we moved out to the briefing spot. Second change was a shortened brief with only the very essential part of off-roading which you need to understand even before you deflate. We had some random questions and were very pleased to see that some of the members had taken the time to go through the brief and knew the answers. After the brief we divided the huge convoy into 4 parts, I was leading the 4th convoy. In my second lead I had @Jun Zamora who kept a safe distance to be sure to make the necessary changes as and when I requested him to, although I felt the gap was a bit too much, but being the first time he was in second lead I will appreciate him following the instructions well and keeping the convoy safe. After that I had @Pancho who was very patient and was soaking in all the information and trying to learn a thing or two about his car while having some tamed fun. He was followed by @paolo dassi who seemed to manage well and at one occasion had the shock of his life when he discovered he could self-recover from very difficult situation. My respect to him for listening and executing the recovery so well. @Jose Martin did everything without a hiccup, and had his car under good control at all times. @Shahid Mehmood also got to learn from the experience more about his car and how to tame his beast. @AryaMan Muse was next, followed by @Pickey Singh, @Anouar Anouar and my trusted companion @Shamil who was there to keep the convoy moving. Together we scaled the desert and even found a couple of tricky stretches, but very proud to see everyone manage very well and I hope that besides the odd refusals and 1 stuck where @Shamil had to pull out the Chevy Silverado all enjoyed and learned from this experience. I am just going to be me, and try to better myself. time to reflect and time to spend with my family and close friends. We at Carnity are very stubborn bunch of off-roaders always looking for a way through the fence.

@desertdude it was not meant for me. Met Mohammed Bin Sulayem around 3 years back while @Gaurav bhai was with me. I was drooling trying to follow him and get a word in with him, but at one point it seemed he was ignoring em and I got really disheartened. But @Gaurav bhai insisted I stay back and wait for him to get a little free, rightfully so he did turn around and said his Salam to me, I was over the moon. @Gaurav bhai even took a photo of him and me together which he later gifted me. Speaking to Mohd Bin Suleyem I told him I remembered the days when his toughest competition was with Saeed Al Hijro from Qatar with his Rothman's Porshe 911, and he lent over and whispered in my ears that he still has his Toyota Celica in his garage from those days. An unforgettable moment with my best friend ever @Gaurav bhai, that is what life is all about, moments we make into memories in the company of great friends.

I second your sentiments. Don't need to die several deaths before you are put in your final resting place. Just be cautious and follow good hygiene and strong faith in God Almighty.
