  1. As far as I know, Qashqai doesnt have a sunroof. Only a fixed panoramic moonroof kinda thing which doesnt move.. And i can tell you one thing. Its going to be an expensive job.
  2. fully synthetic and semi-synthetic motor oil. Apart from the price and synthetic/mineral content, whats the difference? like what does it do to the engine?
  3. alright so changing it asap. back to 5w40 or a different one?
  4. the garage I give it to never told me anything about the oil. I thought they would have replaced it the same oil as mentioned in the service sticker. Anyway, I will get it corrected next time. It's a 5k km oil any bad effects on this? it used to be 5w40 and i was kinda shocked too when i saw 20w50 on the new sticker.
  5. hi guys.. Its been really long since I logged into the forums. Was busy with uni stuff. Update on the car: Did an engine flush with the liquimoly stuff and changed the oil with 20w50 and added hydraulic lifter additive. Yesterday morning when I start up the car (about 300kms done after the oil change), I noticed the sound is absent... Since it has been always there with me through my ups and downs (lol), I miss it. Having kind of a feeling that it will come back. I know for sure it wasn't the exhaust manifold... Anyway.. the mystery sound is gone. I have been hearing that sound on a daily basis for about a month and a half. Sometimes it was too loud and sounded like someones beating the engine with a hammer, and sometimes it sounded like the sound which the chain of a bicycle makes when running freely. lol i know this is weird here's the link to the video which made the chose this route
  6. Sad truth Btw guys.. i will update yall next week.. i cant see any oil marks in the area i parked so i doubt if it leaked.. i will show it to a garage near me and see what they have to say... I dont think its the manifold if so i might be the first one to get it cracked on a w211... i think its the lifter.. i will check the oil again and take it to fasttrack cuz thats where i got it changed less than 2k kms ago
  7. I meant till the new ones came with facelift.... But this one remains classy looking range rover
  8. so beautiful and classy! congrats! this is the only body shape I liked during those times
  9. it was normal nothing suspicious... it was the 2nd time.. they lifted and drained from downside.. 1st time there was some machine action i guess.. without the lift
  10. i had a look at the oil level and its above minimum.... i dont think its supposed to be that low just after 2k km... i have 1L in-hand will add that tomoro and see..
  11. Now.. how to know if that's exactly the problem!? The sound is alot quiter now and not that noticable inside the cabin but surely from the out... Yes this is a sharp ticking noise....
  12. this one... sounds expensive..... damn it even i thought of it
  13. oil was changed about 2k kms ago and i choose the 10k km change oil level is fine when i checked 2 weeks ago before the problem... anyway i will check it today once again... when oil level is bad, it shows a warning 'Add 1 litre oil during next refuel' and this message comes only after 5-6 months...
  14. car info: 2006 w211 E350 japan spec with 77k km radiator tank had a leak and have splashed small amount of water into the engine bay.. tank got emptied in a week and got check coolant level error message... changed the tank! in a week i got the error message again but this time it was half there cuz only the cap was bad (because it was used)... replaced it with the org problem: I noticed a small tick tick noise when the car was running 2 days ago i didn't really cared. Today all of a sudden it is really audible and no need to mention, its irritating and annoying along with the sbc humming... the sound cant be heard when making right turns, decelerating or braking to take exits from the highway, and on highways with speed above 90kmph. the speed of the tick-tick sound increases with the car's speed. heres the video at idle and running at city traffic. what is the cause and possible fix!? it sounds expensive to me...
  15. I guess so.. I guess @Gaurav started with a resonator delete with the Pajero and I guess I will start on the same route... Looking for shops that does it at an effective and pocket-friendly pricing (xpipe with straight pipe)... Will do it at the right time and when i think i have enough pocket money to do so lol.. This thread should help someone in need of a better sound instead of drilling holes in their resonators/mufflers or place some nuts* between the pipes and muffler 😂😂
  16. heres one from my insta story archive xD
  17. in my uni, theres an old sunny with Dodge badges instead of nissan's and SRT8 instead of sunny's. I will upload pics next time i see it 😂😂
  18. This is a great initiative and I wish it all the very best. I am sorry to say that as of now I am 90% sure I cannot be a part of the event as It is my Mid-term and Project submission/presentation period during the given date. I will make sure to share this with my friends and hopefully, some people join...
  19. I would like to know the pricing to get my resonators chopped off and replace it with an x-pipe... Also about the regulations, if any! I have seen cops pulling over ricers and asking them to floor it and next thing you know is that the car is getting impounded. I don't want to get in any troubles nor want attention by putting on a super loud exhaust but just want to bring out the rumble a bit on acceleration. anyone with previous experiences or knows such shops that have readymade or fabricate one?
  20. In India, people get these antennas for their maruti 800, alto, wagon R, swifts etc. Its funny to see them but for some cars, it looks good with all sorts of decent mods not getting into that ricer level...
  21. One of my friends mom drives a juke and she used to fill it with super all the time untill i saw it last month and told her.... e-plus is a luxury for juke. Stop wasting money on super and stick with special or eplus... There is alot of misconception with eplus fuel... just like this thread people say e-plus is so low quality, its bad for the car, theres sand in it, its not refined properly blah blah blah... like for real people, correct me if im wrong but if one the leading fuel co. is selling such types of fuel, dont we have the right to sue them for damaging our property by providing such stuff thats harmful!? I remember that there was a campaign yearss ago by adnoc to enlighten people about the 'e-plus' fuel and main motive was to save these consumers money... or maybe because thats the only co. that provides it.. true that its not available in all the pumps.. and that cud be because of people who consider it as a 'low quality fuel that kills the car'. I used to fill up with eplus... since some MAF issues i started special again and now thats gone im about to switch back again so just wanted to know if these myths have any point.. my cars rated at 91-93.. special is 95
  22. Little did i know before spending 40 each on polishing my lens that it was oxidized from the inside and not outside... i wondered the same and did a quick google search and boom wasn't disappointed.. For most cars this is really a good option but the problem is we are in UAE and this is not really an option here.. Just one of those neglected things in the car world.. and yeah i like forums.... it took me some time to find this one and being that its based in UAE im just more excited... Have been a member of several international forums and they are all dead... Looks like the trend of forums is slowing going down. Used to be a member of DriveArabia too and they shut down! they dont have it anymore making this the only active one in the region
