  1. Congrats @Shamil ! Sri said exactly what I have in mind. I would just add that I’m glad to see another Xterrian in intermediate drives 😉
  2. Considering that it’s not an off-road trim, that you will have to change tyres and maybe fix the breaks (see the inspection details on the website), 55k seems overpriced. Also never take the mileage mentioned on the ads for granted, check the general condition of the car + VIN number to be almost sure that it’s accident free.
  3. I made a mistake in my first message, so edited right now : gas mileage decreased (not increased).
  4. Since it’s a simple job I asked the small workshop in Al-Quoz where I go to wash my car : Toolsa. Actually the Egyptian boss seems to be a good reliable mechanic. He usually works on classic cars.
  5. 1. Two days ago I flushed my Xterra radiator (refilled with Nissan OEM coolant) 2. I noticed this afternoon that my gas mileage DECREASED about 20% So I was just asking myself : could 1 be the reason for 2 ? Could it be related in a way or another ?
  6. Hitting a reckless deliveroo guy or pedestrian
  7. @Xaf if one day you want to organise a 777 absolute nexbie drive, count me in 😂
  8. @Jamy B. you can post here the ads you find before you go to see the cars, so we, I mean Carnity members, can advise you.
  9. do you mean in Sajaa ? Personally I never had issues to find a part. If not available in scrap market, at least you can find everything at Nissan spare parts or am I wrong ?
  10. Thanks @Rahimdad, @Mikhail Lukichev, @Atif, @Brettefor your support, and thanks everyone for this sweet little drive. Sorry that we had to shorten it because of my radiator issue. Don’t forget gentlemen that you can also post your photos in the gallery: https://carnity.com/gallery/category/156-newbie-drive-tawi-nazwapink-rock-1-nov-2019
  11. Horse power is “as low as” 260, so don’t worry for that... Suspensions are not the greatest you can find on the market, I agree on that, but if you want to go for very extreme off-road, you can always upgrade them (or just listen to@desertdude and buy a LandCruiser or any 4 tons Toyota 😂 ) As pointed by @Gaurav I think you can find a cheaper deal for a low mileage used Xterra. FJ is also a good option to consider.
  12. @daninehme it depends on how old is your daughter and of course it’s your decision as a father, the only thing is that we need you to be focused 100% on your driving. @Mohammed Yaasir welcome. As @Rahimdad explained, for your first time, no worries. But for next time we will ask you to get a deflator and a flag, as a minimum. @daninehme and @Mohammed Yaasir, see you at the meeting point at 5:30 sharp for the briefing. Others, newbies and above, see you at 6 (unless you decide to attend the briefing one more time, which is never useless...). In both cases, please don’t be late...
  13. Thanks Dani. Waiting for you at 5:30 tomorrow morning then.
  14. @daninehme welcome. May I ask you to check that you have both front and rear recovery points on your car ? Also, kindly advise if you have any previous experience in off-road, especially in sand dunes.
