  1. I once went on desert safari and there was a station where they would deflate and reinflate the tires. What I mean is that is there a place from where i can get the pressures lowered and filled up again. Also how would the normal shyte grandtreks behave on sand with less pressure? I had meant to get the portable compressor by today but it just got facked up, and they didn't deliver it today so I will have to look for someplace else for the air lowering and filling.
  2. @Gaurav @desertdude @Barry are there shops near bidayer that deflate or fill air? And do they take money for that?
  3. why can't I spin the rear wheels just by putting in D? Is it all time awd cuz?
  4. Land cruiser (2000-present) has an lsd. The hub locks the front and the rear wheels. I might have to replace the clutches, you are right bro. Also, is the lc part time RWD? I can replace the clutch myself but my father doesn't trust me! Where can I buy the clutches or maybe one step up tell me where can i get performance ones. Also, cost?
  5. locking the axles would make the wheel spin right, but would it harm the diff?
  6. dayumn did you lock the axles? also locking the axles would make the wheel spin right, but would it harm the diff?
  7. But ABS and TCS is completely different. I don't wanna do burnouts I wanna know about the TCS
  8. Also, one more thing that lead me to believe this is that it is impossible to get your wheels to spin (burnout) by just putting your car into D. You have to switch it to L4 (offroad gear) to get the rear wheels to hustle.
  9. So, my friend was pulling a burnout in his cruiser, and only one wheel was spinning, EMBARASSING! He believes his axle is broken while I believe worn out axle clutches cuz it has an LSD right! Help!
  10. Hello gearheads(I hope it's not inappropriate), So, I feel like the land cruiser 100 has a traction control built in, and the only time you can switch it off is while messing with the off road gear. Help me out here. If there is one how do I turn it off or get something built (like a button) to turn it off?
  11. And It's electric too. Good one. Honestly, being a petrolhead(I hope I qualify for that) that's where I wanna see electric technology go, not in performance based cars(mainly for the sound ) It's like I wanna see electric cars but also don't.
  12. Y not go for the cheap ones first? Uk, just try out one maybe you'll get the good one! Not tried any tho . I am only suggesting. http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2016/05/six-cheap-dash-cams-that-dont-suck/
  13. Exactly the reason I'm not going deep into the unknown. Why I am looking for a place like awafi is cuz if you get stuck easy to get help unlike deep deserts. Basically I don't wanna go alone but at the same time I wanna go alone, so the place I'm looking for is suitable. I shall join your drives as soon as I get my license.
  14. Wow, first I saw that engine block I couldn't believe it was a block, then i thought someone is cleaning it with rotten car wax.
  15. Thanks, I do know the basics, I have driven multiple times around a beach(it does have dunes). I'm totally geared up for this. About going out alone, that's the reason I'm going out to a place like this (you know where there's a lot of cars).
  16. @desertdude Also, would it be dumb to BBQ around in that area?
  17. @desertdude Thanks, I wouldn't say it's bad for a starter?
  18. Hello again, I have been planning to get a taste of some sand and won't change my decision from going for some dune bashing this Eid. But I don't know where to go. My preference is that where can I stop and watch other patrols and land cruisers make it to the top of a hill. I want to know a spot, not a route, just a spot. Like the one in the picture below. Don't wanna go deep into the desert.
  19. Thanks, @desertdude wow Shaheeens look good, 320 a piece is pretty good. Clarifying, i have heard that 900s are bad on surfaces other than sand. But really I wouldn't drive recklessly on road knowing how the tires are so i wouldn't worry about losing control. Second, looks , they look really good and give your suv personality. I believe any suv with undersized tires and wheels looks really bad and especially the lc 100 nothing makes it look good except the 900s. Still then Shahenn are the second 900s (i want those huge walls). How much for can i get a used one and what is the tire range also please provide me with the location? Appreciate it all.
  20. Hello once again, So recently i have been looking into sand tires or the huge walled tires you usually see on every 3rd suv owned by a UAE local.(picture below) And damn they are expensive at about 550 dirhams for a new and I have no knowledge on used (last I heard was about 250, I could be wrong). So i went dabbling around the internet and I found stuff on this link. https://www.alibaba.com/showroom/sand-tyre-uae.html . Wow supercheap tIres! Then i think they only sell those to shops. But to clarify my mind, I thought it would be interesting to get the opinions of the carnity pros ;)!!! Go wild guys! Thanks! Also tell me what would you all say to using these tires second hand! Thanks!
