  1. 22k for a 3.0 V6 is really steep, unless it would be in top notch condition with rebuilt engine and transmission but I highly doubt that. Don’t expect to find one for 9000kaed that will be off-road-ready as well. Most are poorly maintained and 20 years old at least. The 2003 Pathfinder is an amazing off-roader, try to find a clean 3.5 model as they are more powerful than the earlier 3.3 models. But finding a clean one will take time and lots of patience.
  2. Nice clicks ! Did you take the night shot at 24mm 2.8 ?
  3. These are well known routes which have been posted by OutdoorUAE in their books as well. Most of them will involve more than one day driving and the terrain is quite challenging. Having said that we are building up our Abu Dhabi drives steadily and will definitely start organizing longer “over landing” trips in the future.
  4. This is the Montero Sport and we even have them in the club. In GCC they cannot call it Pajero Sport because the old Pajero remained in production so far. The Montero sport is a capable off-roader and with these more refined details (ultimate package) will probably replace the old Pajero entirely. Its a capable off-roader and pretty light and nimble. The 3.0 V6 is a little low on power but their 8 speed transmission keeps the car moving very well in the dunes. @Jon M did you see any differences on this model compared with yours ? Is it just the Ultimate Package or am I missing something? Btw the latest Fortuner is a very capable off-roader, especially the 4.0 TRD models
  5. Absolutely. There are lots of spare parts available for years to come. The Pajero you referred too is a third gen 3.0 V6, which would be a great weekend toy after a good checkup, but the Xterra is more expensive because of the size, less older, and more powerful 4.0 engine.
  6. You should be able to bend it, that's what I see most of the other drivers doing.
  7. So this is the ARB wiring loom set, so wire thickness is not the issue. - Are you running the engine while using the compressor ? (you should as it needs 13.8 Volts) - Do you see anything molten or loose insulation on the wiring ? - If ARB provide two fuses of each 30 amps, replacing them with 70 amps might have damaged the compressor. According to the spec sheet the unit draws 50 amps under load (2 x 25 A). - Are both fuses blowing ? Maybe try once with new 30 amps fuses and put one at a time to test each side.

  10. Hi @Mario Cornejo If the ARB twin piston is installed in your vehicle, I wouldnt be surprised that the power cable they used is far too small, resulting in overheating cable, resulting in higher cable resistance, and as a result higher amps. Can you share some photos of the power cable that is connected to the battery ? It should be 10-16mm2 at least.
  11. Location: https://goo.gl/maps/yyXeNEih17A9UJBm8 Description: Expo Lake is a new lake, and much more quiet than the Love Lakes on the weekends. It's worth a visit to go for a nice walk, and the views from the observation deck are really worth it. I took some easy snaps with the sun going down
  12. Good point, only on AN and Newbie drives i occasionally take my camera along in a camera bag. Another option is to buy one of these fancy ABS flightcase suitcases with foam inside. Rather expensive but so are lenses and cameras.
