i have been getting curious about the traction control on the pajero as i have a few times heard a "crunching" sound from the rear when accelerating and one tyre is slipping but i wrote it of as the abs working for the traction controls. Today i know i would have the issue as i was exiting a gas station and it was wet stone so i pressed the button to turn it off. The crunching in the back still there but atleast the engine did not cut power. Can someone confirm to me that the "crunching" sound is the abs working for the traction controls. And as far as i know the button dont turn it off completely as you have to pull the fuze when in the desert so some parts of it should be working, right?

Dont really care about looks, i want better headlights but having to change back to pass and the risk of fines and probably points if fines then no ill live with the once i got....

Im thinking of changing headlights to Led but not sure if its Legal here in the UAE. Its an easy replacement regular H4 bulb.....

In sweden we also have A LOT of taxes on fuel so witout the tax we would have a similar price to here but..... 95 - 15.30Sek = 5.93Aed Diesel - 15.90sek = 6.16 AED If/When i move back i will again have a diesel cas as the consumption is less than petrol.

What wading depth do you have on your cars and do you risk it going through them? The manual of my pajero says 700mm (27Inches) but i would not try that, after about 300-400mm go scardycat and drive around....

A Volvo of course! A crappy old blue volvo 740 GL free but needed a service. had it for 2 years, sold it for 5000aed when it had run more than 250000km Always started and ran great!

Is anyone using GoProes to video the drives? If that is the case what mounts are you using and where have you attached the cameras? Im trying to set my camera forward facing on the inside of the windscreen but cant find any good mounts?

Just double check what filter you need as it will not be the same i think, when i was looking for filter there where some difference between models...

If someone is interested i mounted a compartment filter yesterday as the pajero dont come with one here. It is mounted in european models so its easy to retrofit. I used filter that has part nr: MR500057 First start by emptying your glove compartment and locate the cylinder on the left side, it can easily be popped of. After that press the sides of the glove compartment to lower it and get access to the panel behind. Cut out the marked rectangle that is blocked, done simply with a knife. Insert air filter. add 2 screws, they dont come with the filter or is there so you have to supply your own. After that push glove compartment up again to get tabs to catch and put back the little cylinder and all done! Simple and easy!

@Barry Well in the summer sun sets closer to midnight. That is part of my problem cause in the summer its always light and in the winter its always dark and my brain melts.... That's why i love UAE Weather, sun all the time and light days and dark nights all year around!

Picture i took the day i moved down here from Sweden. 21jan 2018 I miss winter days like that but they are few and far between. Its also 2pm and the sun is almost setting and i DONT miss the darkness.....

looks good but im thinking about something that has both front and rear. Do you have your camera permanently mounted? Do you have to turn it on or off or is it automatic?
