  2. Drive Brief Hone your off-road skills in Sharjah's majestic red sands under the shadow of the mighty Fossil Rock. There's a reason this area is so popular with off-roaders, it offers everything and is a perfect training ground to hone and develop your off-road skills. We will meet in the shade of the Mahafiz trees and make our way towards the rock, whilst doing so we will encounter lots of challenges and hopefully even get to practice some climbs and side sloping. This drive is organized in full compliance with the COVID19 guidelines. We expect every member that joins this dr

  4. Oh my goodness, I am sorry ! And now my mind is drawing a blank. Haha That's a good thing, means you must've had a good drive I recall some chatter between yourself and Shehab , perhaps a small refusal but as you said, at the back of the convoy is very challenging.
  5. Drive Report We started off in the low dunes to prepare ourselves for the many challenges that lay ahead. Once we had found our desert wheels we headed in to the tall dunes that spread out in front of us. So much went on in this drive that its hard to pinpoint one thing. We made it to the top of the first dune, with one refusal, then we had a pop out on @Amir Amiri tank. Well done to @Alexander Alcalaand @Shehab Alawadhifor resolving that. Fixing a pop out on a Ram is no easy task and it took some time to resolve As the convoy climbed up, one by one, we had another refusal , how
  6. Good morning fellow adventurers, We are meeting at 4pm. The weather forecast is predicting the temp will be 40degs. It will start to cool as we drive into the evening, and should be around 37degs once we're truly inside this area. We will climb, sweep and cross, at times it will feel relentless....you absolutely must keep and eye on your dials! I'd say it would also be beneficial to have a bottle of coolant (whatever one is good for your car) just to be on the safe side, although I roared around dunes yesterday and everything temp wise was fine, But better safe than sorry. So..
  7. Drive report It had been 8 months since I last ventured into the magnificent dunes around Mahafiz and Fossil Rock. Which, if truth be told, is shameful on my part as these sands have absolutely everything, including heavy traffic. However, a Friday afternoon in the blazing sun is not for everyone and so it proved to be as we saw just one other convoy in the 30+km we covered. We started off at the tree shade and headed out into the sands in a timely fashion and headed down the track. I tried to pick a route that was as vegetation free as possible in order to reach our first play area.
