    Indeed we had a very good start. Everybody picked up very good pace with zero stuck or refusals. Little bit sad we couldn't finish all the way till the end. But everything is for good reason, cant wait to sign up for next drive soon.

    This was the dilemma I had wen i was looking dedicated off roader. I was looking at some monetro sports and but ultimately i settled with 2012 xterra offroad version. I do not regret single bit of my purchase. Its a monter when offroading and chill enough to daily drive as well. For an equivalent budget of low mileage Montero you can find latest 2014-2015 xterra.

    Nice videos @Mohamed Seidam . Hope you had a clean ridges to ride after me 😜 just a suggestion to @Carnity Admins @Gaurav . SInce there is limitations to upload big video files to gallery how about giving an option to add youtube videos to gallery. so will have all pics and videos in one place. a memorabilia for future. also add the drive discussion thread link as well. so we will know what an eventful day it was 😃

    Thank you @Foxtrot Oscar for pefect Friday morning drive. Everything was perfect. The weather, pace, untouched virgin dunes, long ridge ridings, side slopes and we even get to tackle some technical dunes as well. Everyone did well and thank you for the team spirit. 👍 See u next time..

    My bad @Frederic You already explain this in your previous post. Just now only i saw this. 🤭 Hi yes this will also work, but not in combination with your rear difflock activated. So you could do like this: 1) First attempt with traction control OFF and rear difflock OFF 2) Second attempt with traction control OFF and rear difflock ON 3) Third attempt with traction control ON and rear difflock OFF The problem is that Mitsubishi disables your traction control automatically when you go in 4Lo with Rear difflock ON. Because of this, some guys in Australia designed a double-functionality killswitch that would enable you to engage your rear-difflock AND traction control at the same time. That would be in theory the most interesting feature for self-recovery.

I agree and thank you for the clarification. my point is who ever wants to use this trick should not engage rear diff lock (if its equipped in their vehicles). i am big fan of rear diff lock, its been piece of cake for all self recoveries. but will give a try next time to use this trick 😃

    As per my knowledge and experience with xterra as soon as rear diff lock is engaged tranction control will be switched off automatically. Because technical its not possible to lock free spinning 1 wheel when its mechanically locked to spine simultaneously to the other side wheel. Hence my guess is you got out because of rear diff lock. But i might be wrong coz i dont have any experience in Pajeros. Please correct me if im wrong. @Frederic@Frederic @Gaurav Soni

    Thank you @Srikumar for the update. however i was allowed for an extreme drive about a month back but could not attend due to tyre puncture. Hence just wondering what went wrong during my last 2 drives as sweep and 2nd lead. 🙄 however will join other drives and try to improve my self. 👍

Am i eligible to take DPI test during this week.

    Gaia maps is now 3D. its pretty impressive how detail it is specially in mountainous areas.     Thank you @Gaurav, @Alexander Alcala, @Mohamed Seidam for the advices. Even im not comfortable with driving with a tube tyre. I have heard enough horror stories of tyre failure so better to be safe than sorry. currently Juma al majid (dealer) does not have stock, so waiting for new stock to arrive in couple of days. Sorry @Gaurav i forgot to take a photo. it was very small and sharp metal about 0.5mm in diameter. any way even my current spare is tubeless, its old but good working condition. so damaged tyre is no use will scrap it.

    recently had a puncture in one of my tyre. it was very small metal string pocked trough sidewall. couldn't find any visual damage from outside of the tyre it was only visible from inside after removing the tyre, there was small metal string poking through sidewall. as per tyre shop its not possible to fix a sidewall puncture, But he gave me a solution to run tyre with tube, but when i mentioned that im off roading then he said it is not recommended. i changed these tyres just about 2 month back and there is not even 5000km on them. so can i use it for spare tyre with a tube. What is the opinion of our experts. is there any useful life left on this or its total garbage. By the way tyre is Yokohoma Geolander AT G015 size - 275/70/R16

    Hi @Emmanuel i was exited for this drive and preparing for it. but unfortunately had a puncture in one of my tyre and now waiting for replacement tyre. my tyre size is out of stock hence have to wait or look somewhere else. im afraid i might not be able to sort this out by tomorrow. Hope to join with you on next extreme drive soon.
