  1. Hi @Frederic, just wanted to let you know that I withdrew my RSVP as something urgent came up for Friday morning. See you soon on another drive. You guys enjoy!!
  2. Triple rope recovery by @Wrangeld.. From Al Faqaa drive today. Clear cut instructions and perfect execution by Richard! Very well done 👍. The whole patch was super soft and I had to deflate further to cross that. Thanks to @imranaasghar81 for reminding me to check my tire pressure. While this recovery was happening, you can see another recovery in the background by another convoy. They had to recover the same car twice back to back from the same spot 🤣
  3. @Tbone I just withdrew my RSVP as I’m not well. Hope someone from waiting list can be promoted to the drive list. Thanks.
  4. Thanks @Frederic. Overall it was a smooth drive today and all thanks to you to manage the long convoy and you made it look so easy. Hope to drive more with you! See you soon. Thank you 🙏
  5. @Wrangeld, you can remove me from the waiting list if that takes some "weight" off from it.. 😉 I'll be joining another drive. Thanks.
  6. Hi @Rahimdad, please remove me for the waiting list. I'll be joining Fred's drive on Friday. Thank you.
  7. @Gaurav Sorry, my mistake, by no plates I mean, no bash plates or any underbody protection..
  8. @Gaurav 3.5L no mods, no plates, never been off-road as per the owner. Everything stock.
  9. @Rahimdad @Gaurav @Frederic need your valuable insights.. 2004, 175k km, single owner, well maintained Pathfinder R50 asking for AED 12k/- Is that a good price?
  10. @Rahimdad, Can I please have your number? Just wanted an advice on a Pathfinder R50. Otherwise, please if you could ping me on my Whatsapp on 0554974600. Thanks
  11. Hi @Gaurav Extremely sorry for the last minute.. I’m not feeling very well and I don’t think I can make it to this drive. Please don’t wait for me. Thanks and sorry again.
  12. Hi @redonettii, I started off my Absolute Newbie drive with my LR2 and have done 8 or 9 carnity drives so far with it.. It is an amazing AWD with very low range first gear. Doesn't have 4H-4L, no diff lock.. But it's an intelligent car and can act according to the situations to help you do self recovery. I did got stuck badly a couple of times, but those were all due to my mistakes such as not leaving enough distance, leaving the gas just before reaching the top while dune crossing and ended up sitting on the ridge a couple of times. I would say its the best among all the AWDs for newbie drives.. Having said all these, I wouldn't recommend anyone to go for an LR2 for a weekly desert drive because of the very high parts/maintenance cost. I am currently on a look out for a good qualified 4x4 just for my weekly drives.. preferably a Nissan Pathfinder R50 3.5L. I saw Infinity QX4 (similar to the pathfinder) also seems to be available in the market but need to be very careful on the condition of the car. The price range I saw is 6k-12k for 2001-2005 models.
  13. @Gaurav @desertdude, I would be interested to know more about Nissan Armada.. Looking to give some rest to my LR2 and in need of something better for future levels. Nissan Pathfinder 3.5L (Old model) is another one I'm eyeing at.. Waiting for the expert opinion..
  14. @Ale Vallecchi please add me to the waiting list. Thanks 🙏 Please ignore. I got a place in another drive. Thanks
  15. @Rahimdad please remove me from the waiting list as well as I’m still not well to go for the drive. Thanks
  16. Thanks @Chaitanya D. But I'm a bit under the weather.. Not so sure if I will be able to make it to this drive.. So I prefer to be in the waitlist and let someone else grab the confirmed slot. Thanks again for informing.
