Every off-roader must know: What Went Wrong?
M.Seidam replied to Rahimdad's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
thank you @Rahimdad for the topic of what went wrong. thank you all by each ones name who commented on the threads which I tried my best to see it all over the week end. for me it was so useful and life is a learning process indeed. watching others incidents and analyze it from different angels is one of best tools to sharpen the growing experience . that’s why I suggested previously if at all possible to document our drives in Carnity to the best we can in a way that the seniors in Carnity see it better. Let our vehicles move on sand in convoy of trust ,safety and thrill. cheers 🌷🚙 -
Every off-roader must know: What Went Wrong?

Honestly and without reading the further comments I wanna give it a try of what I think first : it seemed as it’s a “ pull to flip “ rather than pull/ tug to recover 🤔 second : the recovery car and the FJC both going against gravity ( for the FJC it’s obvious , and for the Pagero what got it worse is the recovery rop from the middle was elevated by small ground hump acting like a pulley with upward direction of about 30 degree and together with the rope angle it’s plus 60 toward left ( already the FJC was stuck in a tilt right up ) third : non kinetic rope fourth : no sand clearance fifth : both vehicles needed to be redirected for better recovery sixth : rear tug abit could save all day by permitting more distance in front of FJC to later go forward using created slop momentum Seventh : if its me as a newbie I would feel comfortable to do what I am not sure of and I will ask for advice if alone ( I will not go alone off course ) or seek advice from others more experience in the group -

Hi all you will never know the thing till you at least feel it and that’s how I chose among three vehicles twice . Once on 2015 and I ended with Brand new grand Cherokee and still like it .and the second time recently which lead me to discover my current 2012 Xterra driving it almost weekly now with you fine people and still I have an ample time to learn the desert. the video and marketing episode is so epic ,( I love it I have to admit ), that may tempt some not to wait for the “ short” comings.where for some others just to hold their breath till what the tide brings along with it . Cheers and see you at dunes 🌷

Thank you @Gaurav I could see the self recovery following your instructions . i suggest that when ever possible dear off-roaders to take videos from such stuck or even refusals and share it here so for the one who couldn’t witness it live ( e.g most of us we were waiting down the pick rock slope ) and though we were hearing the radio but couldn’t see it. After I sow it I learned a lot about applied physics and lows of gravity . see you next round with much joy and thrill and yet , as we say , safe and health

Thank you @Gaurav for the detailed report letting me repeat the nice experience of yesterday while reading it . I believe Good communication is needed the most especially in the sand. Regarding manual driving I feel would be more fun and chill in the sand while on road I prefer the automatic. thanks to all the participators in that day and wish to see you on the next round with much passion and yet extra safe

RTA approval for adding Stickers on our car
M.Seidam replied to Mukundan Nair's topic in Nissan Xterra Forum in UAE
Good evening apologize for the late reply too this is quite worthy topic of discussion As unintentionally many people doesn’t cross their mind how important it is. Actually i purchased my Xterra already registered with two colors white/black from previous owner. So nothing other than transfer was required. after I searched and contacting the previous owner about how is it done it turned out it’s much easier than ever . Down load the Dubai Police App go to services choose criminal services then change vehicle follow each step by filling appropriate info pay fees you will be notified for approval then you have to go to change the registration card ( mulkeya ) for the new entry of new colors For more clarification you can dial the police call center and get the words direct from them. Best Regards And drive safe -

Recommended regular post off road drive checks
M.Seidam posted a topic in Offroad General Discussion
Thank you Gaurav indeed for this informative clear post and yet essential in my opinion to all off roaders especially to whom are new to this world like me. also many thanks to all who commented richly to make things more clear. related to the discussion in this respectful forum I have one question please we drive on weekly bases almost , my question is what is the recommended regular post off road drive visit to the garage for general check up before the next event? because sometimes in between events during the week on road I am good and not feeling something wrong. however as this hidden issue may become appearent on full performance, as said by Gaurav earlier in the post. thank you -
I believe safety by all means is goal number one in all aspects of life and in the COVID-19 time this is becoming even more important . It’s still there but with little percussion , yet strict every one still can enjoy at ease. drive safe and keep healthy. mohamed
