  1. Thanks @Luca Palanca Falsini for adrenaline filled drive made all the more enjoyable by the cool weather we had this morning. thanks @Hisham Masaadand @Dodi Syahdar for the support. Other mates, great driving today guys, loved the company. Hope to see you all soon. Wish you a wonderful weekend ahead
  2. Hi @Luca Palanca Falsini, an update, have a Jeep 4 door now. Left the discovery behind a long time ago 😊
  3. Hi @Gok Krish, I had a similar problem twice with my Jeep some weeks ago; the engine cutoff power all of a sudden and unexplainably. Once while attempting a hill climb and the second while dashing through a sabka. The RPM just wouldn't go above 3.5k. it was surely hot and this happened towards the end of the drives. Though in my case there was no white smoke and i could drive the Jeep at lower rpm. By the time i was heading home after inflating, she was all fine again, accelerating properly even beyond 3.5k Took it to the workshop, Diagnostics didn't throw up any error though they did find some problem with the oil pump. Since its a major repair, the workshop only serviced the pump assembly and asked me to see if the problem reoccurred before deciding next course of action - thankfully for me, it hasn't. Hope yours was a freak incident as @Gaurav mentioned and nothing serious.
  4. Very well deserved Lakshmi @Lakshmi Narasimhan. Congratulations
  5. Many happy returns of the day Ale @Ale Vallecchi.
  6. Second the comments from @darren thompsonand @Lakshmi Narasimhan. Wonderful drive @Anish S. Exiting route and great driving by everyone that time just flew by; was a tad sad when exit was announced. Thank you for planning and executing such a great drive. thanks @Hisham Masaad and @Lakshmi Narasimhan for the support. Wish you all a great week ahead and hope to you soon on the sands.
  7. Thanks @Islam Soliman for lovely drive. Though short, terrain traversed was super nice and often challenging enough to tempt us back. Hope your car gets well and you plan another drive in this area soon. @fellow Dune Raiders - it was nice seeing you all. Wish you a great weekend ahead
  8. RSA passed my Offroad claim without any hitch. They only required the police report; service was prompt and fast
  9. Guess it boils down to personal choice. For the sheer passion for drives and family, have adapted to the morning drive regime with afternoons/evenings then free for the family. Personally speaking, witnessing dawn and sunrise in wide open desert is worth the effort getting up early. Nine plus months on into this sport, I eagerly look forward to Friday morning drives, at times even saturdays! But that’s me as @Gaurav, and @Zixuan Huang - Charlie have said, the experience is so exciting and addictive, one keeps coming back for more. then there are afternoon and evening drives which we saw a lot of last couple of months. As @Fredericmentioned, availability of our wonderful leads plays an important part, I would say hang around, the club provides ample opportunities catering to most, if not all, needs.
  10. Wow! That was fast, got in nick of time!! Goes on to say how much we look forward to Islam’s @Islam Soliman drives. See you guys on Friday.
  11. Thanks Jana @Janarthan for the excellent and thrilling drive; great selection of route which offered everything we look for. Thanks Richard @Wrangeld and Abdul @Abdul Rahman AK for the support and of course our second lead @Lakshmi Narasimhan. @Humayun Ghias, @Rawad, @Darren Brooke, @JeromeFJ, @Russ, @Werno It was great driving with you today. @Danish Mohammad, missed you man. Does take a lot to get up for the summer morning drives but for the sheer love of it, I always set two alarms 5 minutes apart, just in case 😉 See you all soon
