  1. My first experience in the night driving, and it was as fun as I expected it to be. Thank you very much @Kailas for the drive and letting me be the 2nd lead. thanks to @Islam Soliman for all the hard work you put in the very drive I have the privilege to drive with you. Shoutout to @Jeandre Bezuidenhout. @Ahab Shamaa will we miss you the Saturday afternoon? Hope it gets sorted soon, and thanks to @Shehab Alawadhi for the last big tug that was so needed. Also hope @Hardik Mody, your car is faring well now.
  2. PS: The Apex valves don’t work well with the petrol pump air compressors. It might not be a problem for most since all would have a compressor in the car and use it to inflate. I have a OCD for the correct numbers on my dash and would visit them 1-2 times a week to make sure it is uniform, 😔
  3. The speakers are located near the knee area not easily accessible and would require removing the complete dashboard. I am not sure warranty will cover this situation as there is no problem with the product. It is self inflicted. I tried compressed air from my air compressor but it did not help. The best result I got when I spanked the area where the speaker grill is located with with hand, it did help a bit and a lot of sand fell off behind the dash. The crackling sound came down but still present. I ran the speaker with full volume to agitate the sand off, it hardly helped. While installing A Pilar spotlights this week I asked the garage people to clean it a bit, as they were putting a switch in the vicinity the cleaned a bit more. But a faint distortion is still present. I too had issues with sand getting stuck in the AC buttons. When the service manager saw my car without a roof he had advised me to ensure they are kept clean, since otherwise the buttons could get jammed. Luckily it was not severe in my case. I don’t think Jeep service center does any work to clean the dash of sand, and even if the will do, it will cost a ton.
  4. One can buy on Amazon, bit expensive though.
  5. I drove my Jeep Wrangler JL without the roof for a month, approx 7-8 drives, and it got drenched with a lot of sand in the dash area as well. Some sand dripped through dash to the speaker under the front dash near my knee area in the driver side and it makes crackling sound. When I asked the authorised service center to clean the dash they said it will cost 1000 bucks to remove the front dash and clean it. Please advise what to do.
  6. Got fitted rapid deflation valves today. Just 10 seconds per tyre to deflate now. They pressure up a bit quicker as well.
  7. @Thomas Varghese you are a "Monster of Milage"; I thought only commercial vehicles do those kinds of numbers. My rear left tyre started to deflate automatically after the last mystery drive. Since I was travelling, my better half (@Desert Wrangler ) took the vehicle to a couple of petrol pump tyre shops where they said there is no puncture but the valve seems to be the culprit and it will cost AED 130 for the valve replacement and need to order 2 days in advance. I was planning to install the rapid deflating valves anyways so gave the car to a shop and asked them to clean the tyres as well.
  8. ~snip *If there is a spot available I would like to be waitlisted for this drive please.* Edit: I could join apparently.
  9. Just a B roll video. No commentary.
  10. Congratulations @Kailas! 👍 Looking forward to driving with you in the near future.
  11. @Foxtrot Oscar I am leaving this drive. This would have been my first drive after one and half months of hiatus, but the jeep was due for regular service and I wouldn't get it back by Saturday. I gave the car for service today, the regular service could have been done by today but I reported a couple of error messages that I get while driving in the desert (ESC Service Required - often and 4WD service required - once). They said they will do the inspection of these error messages only by Saturday.
  12. I have a Sport and if I were to buy one today I'd buy a 4D Sahara. When I got my 2D Jeep - bought it only cause wife wanted a 2 door car and wasn't sure what I was getting into. Now I have buyer's remorse.
  13. I had tried this but nothing seemed to happen. What indication if any should I expect to see for confirmation of ESC being disabled?
  14. This was one last drive before I left Dubai for few weeks. It was a cool drive and thanks are due to @Luca Palanca Falsini for a wonderful drive. I totally enjoyed the drive. A big thanks to @Veedooshee, @Yousef Alimadadi. You were great in all the recoveries.
  15. Here's a video from Cooper Tires: https://youtu.be/q5mPgW-xRBg
  16. This is a great initiative. Few days ago I drove with @Pancho in a fewbie drive and he had us practice ridge riding for the second part of the drive, and hoped to skill specific drives would be a great idea where one particular skill is practiced a lot. I am much more confident and comfortable after that practice session. I am driving Jeep JL Sport, I think it has a plastic skid plate. Will it work?
