Hey Fred! Yes I am happy to be back in the community! These last couple of years have been quite intense. Fortunately I didn’t stop offroading, I kept doing it with some friends from time to time, but it was almost always some last minute call, so I wasn’t able to commit with Carnity far in advance. But I am trying to see if I can do it more frequently!

To be honest I was also thinking we were ending up to the solar panel, glad to hear I am not the only one… however, I think from now on I’ll try to get the habit to double check by myself in which emirate we end up the drive.

How many of us got flashed from the speed camera on the way back because we didn’t know we were in Abu Dhabi??

Hi guys! It has been a really fun drive and looking forward to the next one soon!! I just wanted to point out one thing that I saw during the drive that bothered me. The desert is a treasure, the best we can do is to minimise our impact in the environment, that includes not throwing the cigarette butts on the ground, but put them in a tissue or a bag and throw them in the trash bin at the first opportunity. I know, people are polluting this environment in even worse way, but things cannot get any better if we don’t have the common sense to start from these small basics. Thank you all and I apologise it I broke the good vibes 😁 Looking forward to see you all again soon!

Hi Frederic, thank you for your reply! I actually read that article, and that’s why I asked, because it’s from Aug 2021 and I couldn’t find any updates after that.. I think I’ll stick to that article then 👍🏻 Thanks again and see you on Saturday! Thanks buddy! Yes, I actually wanted to bring a couple of friends, but I am having some doubts about motion sickness and undefined carpooling restrictions… my girlfriend always comes with me, she lots of fun and doesn’t feel sick 😎👍🏻

On another note, I would like to bring up one topic. During this trip I saw some people smoking and throwing the cigarette butts on the ground, carless of having some respect for the beautiful environment we have the luck to drive into. Please have the decency to put the cigarette butts in your ashtray or in a tissue but DON’T TOSS THE CIGARETTE BUTTS ON THE GROUND! Thank you.
