  1. Good morning gentlemen. I'm cancelling this drive. We've had jets overhead the last two-hours and several very near interceptions. Lack of rest and combined with several dropouts and potential escalations today this is the best choice for this drive. Stay safe and enjoy a bit of a sleep in. @Krinesh @Ash S. @_Herman_ please confirm receipt of this cancellation.
  2. The convoy will line up is as follows: Lead - Emanuel - White Rhino Second Lead - @Krinesh - 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor: Orange #3 - @_Herman_ - 2019 Toyota FJ Cruiser - grey #4 - @Ash S. - 2013 Toyota FJ - Beige We will use Carnity Channel 4, which is 446.081. Get lots of rest and see you in the morning. Please follow: Convoy Off-road Drives - Safety protocol during emergency alert

  6. Post‑Drive Report – Qudra (Near Bab Al Shams) Thank you everyone for showing up on time and ready to start promptly at 7:00 am for the briefing — much appreciated and it set the tone for a smooth and enjoyable drive. After a short trip along the track, we made our way into the dunes. The opening section featured clean dunes with minimal bushes, making for a nice warm‑up. This was followed by a middle section where the track was heavily bushed, keeping everyone alert and on their toes. We then transitioned into some really nice longitudinal dunes, with bushes mainly in between the stretches, which allowed for a fun and flowing drive. Overall, it was a great and enjoyable drive — thank you all for joining and for the positive energy throughout. A big thank you to @J-P L for sweeping and providing excellent support, helping out with a few refusals and second attempts along the way. We only needed to get the shovels out once, which says a lot about the driving today. Well done to @Infaz for stepping up as second lead for the first time — nicely done. And congratulations to @CY Bong on completing your first Fewbie drive — great job. Everyone drove really well yesterday, especially the long wheelbase vehicles, which handled the terrain confidently. Looking forward to seeing you all on the next one. Here is the link to our Relive video of the drive. https://www.relive.com/view/vRO7NB1mgKv

  9. @saumik1989 no alerts here for the last few hours. We will cancel if there is an alert after 6 am as per the above procedures. For now, we are a GO. If you want to drop off because of recent alerts where you are that is your decision and we will support whatever decision you make. Thanks for letting me know. See you next time.
  10. Hello everyone, Tire pressure: Lets start the drive with about 5-6 PSI more than you normally drive at. We'll do this to account for more compacted water logged sand. We can deflate further as needed once we get inside. Better than getting a pop-out early into our drive when we can reduce the risk of these. Meaning more fun time. Meeting point entry point: I'm expecting parts of it to be flooded. Usually there is a way or two around it. As such, I'm moving the meeting point closer to the entry point in case someone needs help. https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZktkNKs5Lzo7hynRA Convoy order will be as follows: Lead - Emanuel - White Rhino Second Lead - @Infaz - 2014 Dodge Ram - 4 Door - Silver - Fewbie #3 - @CY Bong - 2024 Toyota Prado 4 door White - Fewbie #4 - @_Piotr_ - 2025 Ford Ranger Raptor - Orange - Fewbie #5 - @Eddie-Dune-Glider - 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor 4 door Black - Fewbie #6 - @saumik1989 - White Prado 2019 - 5 door - Fewbie Sweep - @J-P L - 2021 Suzuki Jimny 3 Door Grey - Support Team We will use Carnity Channel 4, which is 446.081. Get lots of rest and see you in the morning.
  11. For sure. For now, the drive is a GO. I'll be posting the convoy order in the next couple of yours.

  15. DRIVE PLAN We will start our drive from Bab Al Shams in the Al Marmoom Conservation Area, enjoy some technical dunes along the way that I am expecting to be soft as well as a bit wet and very technical. We will also try to find some nice dunes and practice ridge riding and criss crossing. After that, we will enjoy a drive that will take us near to the Last Exit. Read Carefully: I haven’t driven in this area for about 3 years, and I’m planning to explore it. There will likely have been changes so we'll be open to surprises. I think the sand might be soft and perhaps a bit wet, so I’d like the cars to be lighter, preferably below 2.5 tons in their usual stock setup. It would be great if we could avoid really big vehicles. Also, the sand dunes are going to be narrow, so trucks might not be the best choice for this terrain. Keep your shovels handy. Request every member that joins this drive to go through the information below and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquette, and responsibilities. 16. Thank you @Gaurav for guiding me through the Newbie drive lead training—what a truly memorable drive this turned out to be. Taking over the lead just as the rain, wind, shifting sand, and thunder all came together made for a challenging but rewarding experience. I’m really glad to have shared it with so many of you. A big thanks to @J-P L and @Andrew John Melvill for stepping up to lead the recovery and working through the pop-out. You both worked brilliantly as a team. It was a nasty one, with a lot of wet sand that needed to be cleared multiple times. In the end, Gaurav’s tango maneuvers and the 50 PSI bounce tip did the trick and helped get the last part of the convoy out safely. Have a great week ahead, everyone, and stay safe!
  17. Amazing. Welcome to the team. Looking forward to joining one of your drives.
  18. Amazing news! Enjoy the new chapter in your journey.
