Good Afternoon.
I had a problem during one of my Abu Dhabi drives where my ESC was turned on (I didn't know how to turn it off. I do now thought after some research) but the regular traction control was off where while trying to drift in between tight dunes so I don't fall in a ditch my engine would be shut off momentarily and traction control would initiate. It gave quite some trouble on that drive, and some of the crew and fellow members told me to either install a kill switch for all the traction control options or to remove the fuses. Where can I go to install one on my car (I drive a ford F150 4 door 2017) and can that kill switch also be used to turn off all the other un-wanted things like the airbags?
If my fellow pickup enthusiasts (or anyone that has a kill switch on their cars) can help me out and share their experience on how it works on their car and if there is a garage specifically for Pickups (just like the well known jeepers garages)
Thanks!

@Shehab Alawadhi great question. When I learn I will let you know. Seriously, getting a refusal or getting stuck is part of your learning process. I've been out in the dunes for over 12 years and I'm still learning. Main thing in a stuck or refusal is to stay calm, you think better when your mind is at peace. The key to not getting stuck is momentum, the right speed at the right time. You have to perfect the knowledge of when to accelerate and when to let the throttle go. You will only learn this with time as your vehicle and you become one. Remember when Ironman first wore his suit, he destroyed everything in his lab. With time he learned how to control his suit, with nobody to guide him. You're lucky you have excellent people around you to teach and guide you so you don't have to destroy your lab. Enjoy, look closely how the vehicle in front of you is managing the situation and learn and replicate their actions. Happy learning bro. Looking forward to catching up with you on one of the drives.
imp totally prepared to get stuck because most of my off roading experience (before carnity) is helping other people get out of stucks or refusals just by watching and helping not necessarily driving.
Excellent example of Iron Man, im kind of a HUGE marvel fan 🤣
Im glad everyone around me is helpful and awesome really amps up the drives fun level.
Inshallah see you soon! would love to drive with everyone in this club hopefully!

I think you lost the momentum because you were unsure of the incline on the other side. Seeing you getting stuck made me increase the speed and I was prepared for the dive down in case it was really steep. I was sure it was safe to increase the momentum as the Marshall @Gaurav & @Jeepie will not let us do an unsafe drive and cause a casualty and I saw others safely negotiating the dune and you getting stuck as you lost the momentum. Taught me a valuable lesson - TRUST THE MARSHAL and just drive as he instructs.
Absolutely agree I miscalculated and let go of the throttle too early because I thought I had enough momentum, thankfully I had enough traction in the back wheels to just get me over the crest so gravity can do the rest.

This is my second Abu Dhabi drive and it was even more exciting and challenging than the last. I loved being in sweep I learned more on how to traverse very badly disturbed sand and how to make my way around sticky situations furthermore I learned how to help others either climb a dune, come down from a dune safely or help someone get unstuck. Overall it was a very well balanced ride of fun, learning and adrenalin. Thank you @Asif Hussain for the help and guidance. hope to see everyone soon. Sadly I couldn't take many pictures or videos most of my time was spent concentrating or helping., 🤣😅

Thank you everyone for the amazing fun and the great learning experience. Thank you @Gaurav and @Jeepie for your guidance on how to get out of a sticky situation. I learned a lot.
Hope to see everyone next time!
P.S. I posted the video of the Ram getting stuck because I want to know how to avoid that since I drive an F150. Any advice?

Thanks everybody for participating and having fun in the desert. Looking forward to see you all in the next drive. @Gaurav & @Jeepie gave us good support. Thanks to the valuable lessons learned from @Frederic & @sertac during my 1st drive as an Absolute Newbie I managed to complete the course without getting stuck once. So happy to slowly start unleashing the potential of the XTERRA. I really enjoyed the afternoon.

Yes, you can join drive Y and put your name on the waitlist for drive X. Having said that if there is a dropout on Drive X then since you already have secured a spot in Drive Y, the space would go-to the next on the waitlist.
So you would get a spot in Drive X only after those who waitlisted on it but have not yet got a drive are done.
alright so if there are 3 people waitlisted plus me(total 4 waitlisted), those 3 would get priority and if there is another space only then id be able to go on drive X (thus meaning id have to leave my drive Y.
Just to make sure I understand this properly.

So I was wondering, I want to join drive X but its full, however drive Y is open. Can I join drive Y and be on the waitlist for the drive X? What is the system you guys use for stuff like?
Thank you!

First I'd like to say I cant wait and I'm so excited.
Second, do I need to bring a valid covid-19 test result since we are gonna be in Abu Dhabi, and if so which test would I need to bring?
Finally, do I need to being an extra things like a jerry can with petrol in it or just the usual tools needed for the newbie off roading drives?

Hello @Ale Vallecchi
First im excited to join this drive.
Second, my car does have tow points in the front and the back, however id need a shackle for both the front and the back. Anyway i did buy a tow hook just in case.
Third, I would love to pursue this sport that is why I bought the tow hook. I have always been a fan of driving in the desert camping and other outdoor activities.
Lastly, do you guys have any camping plans? like a weekend getaway in the desert because if you do id be more than happy to join.
Cant wait to meet everyone and drive togther!

Hello! I watched the videos and have all the tools I need, my car is Ford f150 (4 door) the car comes with front eyelets. I am buying my tow hook today also. My experience is the desert is not much but I have been going off roading since I can remember (desert, mountains etc) my driving skills in the desert are not terrible but not good either, but I have been in the passenger seat of many good off roaders (yes not the same as driving in the desert but its better than nothing 🤣)
Just have a couple of questions.
Do I need to bring a tow rope? and if yes which one should I buy?
Do I need shackles, if so should I get the steel ones or the soft shackles?
Which tow hook would you prefer me to have?
