  1. I will not be able to make it. Thanks for trying to accommodate me. Really sad I can’t join today, hopefully next week.
  2. @Foxtrot Oscar hi Angela I have work commitments and not 100% sure if I will be able to make it for the drive. If there is someone on waitlist who can join for sure then happy give my slot to them. I still intend to join if slots available but would only be able to confirm by 11 am tomorrow.
  3. @Lorenzo Candelpergher Sincere apologies for backing off at the 10th Hr, have some work commitment and wont be able to join tomorrow.
  4. @Vanessa8580 since i am confirmed on the drive with Angela would like to opt out of this one thanks and hope to meet up in one of your drives soon.
  5. @Foxtrot Oscar Hi Angela I have signed up for this drive (second drive for the weekend or even third as I am waitlisted for Friday afternoon drive with @Vanessa8580) and would be happy to give up this slot (or the one with Vanessa) for anyone that has not had a chance to drive this weekend.
  6. @Gaurav Thanks, well received, read and updated, will keep a printed copy in the car as soon as possible.
  7. @Thomas Varghese fully agree, something more i can add to this is low sugar or lack of energy, its important to keep yourself hydrated and sufficiently fed with temperatures rising dehydration and lack of energy would be a common occurrence. Last drive i heard someone say they were dizzy after being out in the sun recovering their car from a stuck situation and it could be purely due to lack of energy or low sugar (suggested eating a candy or chocolate to bring sugar levels up). @Lorenzo CandelpergherJust a suggestion, may already be part of Marshals to do list. It would be nice for Marshals to have a drive list of participants that suffer from any chronic conditions (diabetes, blood pressure, blood group etc), incase of any situations this may be handy. I know we are required to fill in the details on the profile but there could be places where internet is not accessible and may need such information which is available offline to the Marshals.
  8. My most challenging drive so far for me and loads to learn, never experienced so many stuck, recoveries, pop-outs (if I remember correctly there were at least 4), tugs and pulls, digging.... you name it. I think the most the whole convey was moving at a stretch was when we were exiting . what a fantastic day for learning...thanks to everyone and the team work. @Wrangeld promised a day of challenges and boy we weren’t disappointed....multiple stuck’s at the same and every one was supportive and assisting whenever needed.
  9. @Wrangeld I confirm having read and understood the new COVID rules and regulations. see below confirmation on Totally agree on the subject.
  10. @Lorenzo Candelpergher it wasn’t me who got crested 😭😭😭, it was Varun.....Let’s blame it on fog 😂😂 you could not hear me clearly due to dense fog 😉..... I did have a refusal never the less close to fossil rock ☹️.. an awesome day Lorenzo, thanks a lot for keeping us on the toes. Driving in fog and partially wet sand is a new challenge and something new learnt, nevertheless a fantastic day out. As usual the Superman @Rahimdad Bhai to the rescue and guidance every time... thanks again to everyone on the drive for some light hearted banter @Paul Zeitoun (did you sleep on the couch or the car 😜).... true spirit of Carnity touched once again, fun filled day with loads of learning and sharing all done safely... @varunmehndiratta As promised I did watch out for your flag was worried if I was going to be named the flag man of the day... hahahah🤣🤣 thank you everyone for a lovely day out
  11. @Paul Zeitoun mate that is border line racist comment against the Pajeors....hahahahahah.... to be honest i had the same impression before joining Carnity and seeing some of the magic Pajeros can do, had to take my thoughts back..... About reaching the top (guessing you talking about Faya)..... well so far i have not been able to reach the top (my car has reached the top but not me, that's a story for when we meet) so i may be filling the gaps of the Pajeros you talking about 😄
  12. @varunmehndiratta i should be getting used to your wagging tail by now.... i think....hahahhahaha this is the 3rd drive i am behind you..... no worries mate i will look out for your flag also 😉 Looking forward for another fun filled day with everyone.
  13. @Frederic I have committed for a family dinner as such wont be able to make it this weekend. I only have a telephoto lens (Nikkor AF-S 28-300mm F/3.5-5.6) with me which may not be ideally suited for this event. Need to invest in some more lenses, suggestions welcomed, I have a Nikon D750 camera. Thanks to you and @Mikhail Lukichev for arranging such an event and looking forward to join one of the next ones.
  14. @Mehmet Volga I know we were extremely boring but that blame has to be to our mentors, marshals, crew and seniors (you included). You guys need to train us how to get stuck not get out 😆. love the Carnity family for this precise reasons safety, learning, sharing and fun (both on the drives and forums). looking forward for more fun filled weekends.
  15. Beautiful day and fantastic drive. Kudos to the whole convoy for a fun day and support through. @sertac awesome trip, many thanks for such a beautiful day. @Luca Palanca Falsini fantastic route and looking forward to riding in your leadership in the near future. @Mehmet Volga thanks for keeping the convoy strong and well supported at the back. @Thomas Varghese thanks for keeping a check on all of us and ensuring no ones left behind. once again thanks to everyone in the convoy for support and guidance.
  16. @Aravind Padmaraju could you please post the videos that you took on the drive. Just want to see and learn what went well and what went wrong. Thanks.
  17. Oh yes have been told that a few times.... I am very photogenic when I am not facing the lens 😂🤣 honestly awesome pics, thanks.
  18. Oh wow 😍, thanks, awesome pic. Shame it’s my car and not both me and my car 😂.... but at least this way I am getting some attention driving a beauty 😉
  19. @Mohamed Seidam firstly thanks for posting on this subject, really appreciate your time and effort, it helps us remind and remember the basics. In my opinion, all 3 cars took a different line of approach, didnt follow the leader's track. they were focused on the video rather than track and off-roading (don't have flags, probably no radios, hence guessing just friends out for fun). lastly dont think they had checked or kept proper tyre pressure (trye tracks for Pajero and FJC looked deeper than the first track, could be just optical illusion for me).
  20. @Mohamed Seidam fully agree with you, Ego cannot be your passenger when off-roading (or for that matter any where in life).... I think the driver was inexperienced to take all the challenges... he had not done the Absolute newbie, newbie, fewbie... etc drives didn't have good mentors like we do at Carnity....😄 few things that i can see what should not have been done were his speed, he was travelling too fast (as captured by @Abdul Rahman Abdul Kader), he could have continued to do a sidey and turned back down, probably changed his mind mid way. At about 56-57 secs riding on the ridge he drifted to the right of the dune (our left) and then swerved back to the other side, at high speed and on downward direction reaction time was limited and was too late for him to correct anything, he should have continued down the dune on right side of the dune and towards gravity that may have saved the disaster (on the hind sight).
