  1. I came across a FB post of someone who put together a system for astrophotography, thought it would be of interest to see it and know about the parts. The person claims its cost was around USD 1,700, excluding the camera, which is a Nikon D850. - William Optics ZenithStar 61II Doublet Refracting Telescope - William Optics Z61 Adjustable Flattener - Optolong L-eNhance Filter - 2” - Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i Pro Pack - William Optics Red Dot Finder Kit with Vixen Style Mounting Base Have you tried setting up something similar? what have been the results?
  2. It was a great and insightful evening, thank you @Mikhail Lukichev and @Frederic for organising it. Here is the picture I was after, the Orion Nebula. Blurry and noisy though, but I am satisfied with it. See you all next time!
  3. Hello everyone, It was a pleasure to drive with you all. Thanks to @Emmanuel, @Nabil Bishara and @Kalahari for their support and for ensuring the safety of all of us. I managed to take few pictures and just left them in the gallery. Bye for now and wish you all a great week ahead!
  4. Thank you for yet another great morning in the desert. The flow of the drive was almost uninterrupted, thanks to the support of @Rahimdad and @Jeepie, and this allowed us all to enjoy more time in the play areas, which more than play is an opportunity for all of us to fine tune skills. The route had amazing views and I regret so much I forgot my camera at home. My copilot, Danny, enjoyed the play areas, unfortunately he was feeling a bit shy today and did not want to step out of the car. As @Rahimdad said, Danny is keen to find an opportunity to use his shovel to help get dad unstuck from the sand, but as the saying goes: "be careful what you wish for!" As I don't have pictures this time, I thought I would share a few stats: we drove 29Km over a period of 4hrs 38min, our maximum elevation was 728m. @Rahimdad thank you for giving me the opportunity to be the sweep in today's drive and to contribute, even on a small scale, to a safe and enjoyable drive. Thank you everyone else in the convoy, it was a pleasure to drive with all of you. Bye for now and hope to see you soon in upcoming drives.
  5. Hi @Shiroy Tarapor - I got my car last November, it is a Super Safari year 2017, Short Wheel Base (SWB), and I am very happy with it. My first time in the sand with it was during a Carnity Master Class, 72 Km in a little over 4 hrs, during the trip I had a few refusals and I was able to self recover following instructions of the Marshall. Since then I've joined more Carnity drives and the experience driving it has been just great. It is a car with a powerful engine, it has just the basics, there is no additional technology, for example a TPMS that will tell me the pressure on all 4 tyres, yet I like the "rustic" vibe it has. For me it is the right car and I feel safe in it. Hope this helps and please let me know if you would want any additional information.
  6. Hi everyone, Another weekend and another great drive! Thank you @Rahimdad, @Yousef Alimadadi and @Abu Muhammad for your support and above all for making it a safe drive to all of us. All, it was great to drive with you today. The route offered challenges to learn from and amazing views. I just uploaded some pictures in the gallery, hope you all like them. Looking forward to the next drive Best wishes and a nice weekend ahead on behalf of myself and my co-pilot little Danny. Mario
