    @Mark Dolman Size etc is mentioned in this link by @Frederic. You may have to get a mount from one of the off road garages and they will have a usable mount available. Or else you can use a suction mount but I always prefer a permanent mount for peace of mind.

    Hi @sertac I think the 1100/- limit is not for recovery itself , but only for the use of crane in case of rollover or other extreme cases. For the recovery itself I think no limit or number is mentioned. But with insurers only when you require it you will realize what all terms that will come up with 😳.

    Mine is AXA and they are saying they will arrange for recovery provided it is not impossible. No limitation to the number of times

    Thanks @Ale Vallecchi for the wonderful terrain. I always wondered when driving though Emirates road about what is beyond those alluring dunes, now we know 😀, Such fresh breath to the usual drive routines. Especially the initial technical section was really gripping. Really loving the exploratory drives (this is my second), hopefully we will have more soon. To all the fellow wanderers, it was a pleasure driving with you.. See you soon on sand..

    AOR ropes are available in adventure HQ also around 420/- Aed , but the AOR soft shackles are quite pricy around 185/- a piece
