  1. Wow!! I had high hopes for this drive, but it exceeded all expectations. Despite the unfortunate incident in the morning, the afternoon stretch was the best stint of fast pace driving I have ever had in the desert. The pace and terrain required razor sharp focus and everyone rose to the occasion and drove out of their skins. The terrain was absolutely incredible and well worth the long drive there and back. @Srikumaryour drives never disappoint, but this goes down as best Carnity drive i have been apart of. You also demonstrated great leadership when dealing with the two difficult incidents we encountered. @ZedI hope you got back home safely and haven't been left too shaken. @ASAD. likewise, hope you got back ok and the car is repaired quickly. Absolutely superb effort as 2L. It was pleasure driving with you all and hope to see you all soon. I'll post some pics in the gallery shortly.
  2. Wow. That one filled up quick! Looking forward to this @Srikumar. Should be epic!
  3. Congratulations @GauravSoni. Thoroughly deserved. Your drives never disappoint and I look forward to joining more of them in the future.
  4. @Warren Flaysad to hear you will be leaving UAE shortly. Enjoyed driving with you. Always plenty of banter, especially when we had @Mohamad Anwer on the drives who liked to stoke the Pajero /Toyota rivalry!! Your beige (oh... I mean gold! ;)) Pajero is a little weapon. I am sure it will find a good home.
  5. Out of interest, is there any reason why this isn't practiced any more within @Carnity? Although in my time with Carnity I have only seen two failures (one was the tow point shearing off on a car being tugged, resulting in a near miss, and the other more recent one was the soft shackle breaking on the car that was tugging, resulting in considerable damage to the car being tugged from the recoiling kinetic rope) this additional safety measure would have prevented both incidents.
  6. You took some hit on that first bowl! Fortunately the FJ took it in its stride.
  7. @JeromeFJthank you again for yesterday's drive. It's not an easy task to lead through this terrain but you did a superb job. Everyone drove flawlessly and the afternoon segment was particularly enjoyable as the convoy gelled and we were able to pick up the pace. To experience this type of pristine, untouched environment was exactly why I took up off-roading in the first place and I look forward to more Carnity adventures in Liwa this winter. Pics uploaded onto gallery page. Hope everyone got back safely. I was absolutely destroyed last night when I got back!
