  1. Congratulations @Theo09 on your well deserved promotion to FB !! See you soon in the new level
  2. @controlz A happy and proud rubicon (stock No mods) owner since Dec 2021😅, and thats my only car, for both off road and on road. 4DR, for 3 ppl, self, spouse and One future offroader who is currently 12 yrs old😂! 4Dr - Bcos its my daily use car too, helps me with storage during winter campings too. Been with club since I became the owner and no looking back since then. If you believe desert is going to be your second home, I would not hesitate to recommend you to go for rubicon, as regards your second car, for on road, you need to consider daily usage, if its 20-25 mins one way commute perhaps one rubicon should work, else you might want to think of alternative. But then over a period you will get used to it and wont like getting into other car😅! I now dont feel like having one more for my on road.
  3. that was quick - now lets hope for either an extension of Convoy or someone dropping - however, please wait to see till the convoy list is published - I can totally relate to this excitement when I did my first drive too ,
  4. Hi @Abhilash Kottakkal - Welcome to Carnity !! Currently you are on Waiting list and I see this will be your first drive ( if your WL is confirmed either 1. upon extension of convoy which is Drive lead's decision taking into consideration drive technical level and convoy length/support OR 2. some members dropping) , The convoy list will be published here by today evening most likely and if you are in that list as confirmed attendee, you can join, if not, I guess would be few days of wait however, in the mean time, as mentioned in details of this drive Can you please confirm on below : Please share your vehicle details - Make, Model, Color, and Year. Do you have any prior off-road experience? If yes, pls share details. Confirm your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks/eyelets. Confirm you have essential minimum gears to start off with - 1. Off road flag , 2. Two way programmable radio 3. Deflator to deflate tyres upon arrival and 4. Compressor to inflate after the drive. MUST WATCH: NEWBIE VIDEO BRIEFING https://youtu.be/hP-2ah4Eyek
  5. Thanks for the compliment These boards were done by a friend few months ago, for some of us, its not available for sale / online 😅
  6. @Theo09 its just a normal thick wooden board, to have stability for Jack, as its not hard surface in Sand, plus it gives some elevation to jack too. Please see what it looks like

  8. Thanks @M.Seidam this was interesting one, and Watching it at 0.25 speed couple of times, my observations are : 1. The approach angle was not right according to me, he was hitting slip face, and that too in a kind of bowl what looks to me. I would either continue to ride the ridge and then steer right , straight down Or cross the crest straight up, straight down bcos from where he approached doesn't appears to be sharp crest. 2. When he arrived on other side, the minute he arrived, he was going down, but instead thought choose to counter steer and the sand wall started to build on his front right wheel, and he continued to counter steer, to correct his angle on a slip face absolutely not done. Looks to me, his front right wheel sand-wall caused this rollover. - There was NO way he was going to continue sideways (keeping in mind his angle of arrival on this side) - going down was only solution.
  9. and @PETELCZYC PAJERO - luke if you dont have kinetic rope, there is an amazing deal too, provided you have ADCB card ! The cheapest I have ever seen this in last 2 years
  10. Congrats @Mohit Gurnani for a well deserved promotion👍🏻, interesting journey of pace and learning more , awaits ahead:)
