Drive Report First of all, thank you everyone for coming on time, actually, most of you were there even earlier! 👏 This allowed us to finish the briefing and start moving at exactly 7:30 PM. Our first mission was to head towards 2nd Dec Cafe to fetch @khlief. On the way, we climbed Little Red and had a little disagreement with the GPS 😅. Somehow we drifted to the west side of Pink Rock and ended up having to find our way through the bushes to get ourselves back on track. Once we picked up @khlief, we were back on the sand and headed towards Nazwa Rock, crossing Camel Hill along the way. Then, just one dune before reaching Nazwa Rock, our next adventure began. 😅 I wasn’t sure what was waiting for us on the left side of the dune, so I decided to make a loop to the right. Unfortunately, I ended up bumping my right footstep against a big rock, went through some bushes, and landed nicely in a small pocket where I couldn’t move either forward or backward. 😂 So, we parked the whole convoy and started the winching process. Thanks everyone for your patience and help during the recovery. 🙏 But from that situation came a pretty good idea: instead of driving the final dune, why not bring the chairs, coffee and snacks and simply walk up? sitting on top of the dune, enjoying the night, coffee, snacks and good vibes with good company. Sometimes you don’t need to keep driving to enjoy the desert. 🌙☕🏜️ At 10:25 PM, we packed up and started heading back towards the Big Red meeting point using the buggy track. We reached the exit at around 11:00 PM, extending the drive by roughly 30 minutes because of the recovery. I really enjoyed this drive, especially having the chance to meet you all again and drive together at night. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Thanks to @Thomas54675 our Second Lead, for the quick responses and reroutes whenever needed. Thanks @Infaz for taking care of the sweep position and helping during the refusals. Thanks @Enrico - Mountain for stepping in a couple of times to assist @Rasna with the refusals. so the convoy order was as per the plan. @Rasna keep joining more Fewbie drives and continue practicing your criss-crossing and switching. The more you do it, the more natural it will become. 👍 @Lazy Frog your refusals were mostly related to momentum. Join more Fewbie drives, learn more about how your car behaves on the sand, and soon we might have to rename you Crazy Frog. 🐸😂 @khlief and @Mei Ling welcome back after a couple of months! It was really nice having you both back in the convoy. @khurramm please fix that fuse holder. In a worst-case situation, the concern isn’t only high coolant temperature; a poor electrical connection can also overheat, spark, and potentially become a fire hazard. Better to get it sorted before the next drive. 👍 @Hartzel well done on your first night drive! 👏 Now we need to get some ROI from all those extra off-road lights. 😂💡 Thanks again everyone for the great company, teamwork and good vibes. please upload the photo here https://carnity.com/gallery/category/2712-wednesday-night-fewbie-desert-drive-coffee-club-dxb-chapter-5th-pink-rock-sharjah-23-sep-2026/ See you again in the sand!

  12. Selamat pak @Frans M on your well-deserved promotion to Advisor level. langsung gas BBQ 🤣. Throughout many drives, you've always been someone people can rely on, bringing a great combination of technical expertise, sound judgment, and a calm presence in challenging situations. One memorable example was the Green Jeep rollover recovery in Nahil, where your calm and firm approach, combined with your excellent technical skills, helped manage the situation safely and effectively. Your ability to stay composed under pressure and make the right decisions is something that inspires confidence in everyone around you. I have no doubt that these qualities will make you an outstanding Advisor and convoy leader. Looking forward to drive under your lead 🫡.
  13. Personally, you've supported my drive many times and I have no doubt you'll do an amazing job leading convoys as an Advisor. Looking forward to drive under your lead 🫡.

Thank you everyone for joining our Twilight Drive and for arriving on time, ready to go by 5:00 PM. It was great to see some members bringing their families along to enjoy the beautiful desert sunset. We started with a relaxed drive and practiced ridge crossings around the Qudra Secret Garden, which provided an excellent training ground, the warm up also to test @Enrico - Mountain new suspension setup. @Rasna had a challenging ridge crossing where she missed the ridge on the first attempt. On the second try, the car slid perpendicular to the ridge due to momentum and steering input. After working through the technique together, she successfully completed the crossing on the third attempt and repeated it successfully on the fourth. Well done for the persistence! The convoy drove very well throughout the drive, showing great control and teamwork. Before our sunset break, we had a fun recovery exercise. @JC_E was enjoying the ridge and the sunset colors so much that he forgot something ... steer down 😅 and ended up cresting the car 🤣. After two attempts of shoveling, the car was still stuck, so @Mahmut volunteered for a tug recovery... only to end up cresting his car too 🤣. We suddenly had a double crest situation! Fortunately, both vehicles were recovered safely, giving everyone a good learning opportunity and a few laughs. We then enjoyed a peaceful coffee break with engines off, taking in the desert atmosphere and sunset views. At 7:00 PM, we headed south and made our way smoothly to the exit. A great evening of learning, teamwork, recoveries, and stunning sunset views. Well done, everyone! 🌅🏜️☕🚙
