  1. Thank you @JeromeFJ for introducing me to this area of the UAE and I agree it is truly stunning to drive through these dunes. Also greatly appreciate the help and support of you and @Chris Wingfor the recovery. It certainly was a uncomfortable position to be in and we achieved the best outcome. I agree with your comments about momentum going up dunes and that by the end of the drive there was a improvement. As it was my third drive since buying the Y61 the learning curve has been steep but enjoyable going from a IFS to solid axle as they handle completely differently.
  2. Amazing looking drive@Frederic. Will have to focus on getting my promotion to Fewbie Plus and take part in the next trip. I’m sure the Patrol would have loved this trip (minus the amount of fuel it would take 😁)
  3. @Imteeaz my pleasure mate. You will lose access to the small compartment but you actually gain more storage space both in front and behind the cupholders which is a bonus. One comment I will make is that it can be a bit tight on your hands when releasing the handbrake but apart from that a great purchase
  4. Hi @Imteeaz, of course. Here you go. You remove the ashtray as well as the existing cupholder and it slots straight in.
  5. @munkybizness one of the first mods on my Y61 was to fix the cup holder problem. This addition has been money very well spent. https://www.mulletmods.com.au/products/patrol-front-cup-holders
  6. Thanks @munkybiznessand I look forward to driving with you. Actually your post on Y61 modifications has been especially helpful as I've just moved across from a GX460.
  7. Thank you @Gaurav for the promotion and @Looper, @Hisham Masaad and @Vaibhav for your kind words. I look forward to developing my driving skills with the Carnity team
  8. Hi @Frederic thank you once again for your lead and knowledge. Great weekend spent and looking forward to many more this year
  9. Thank you @Fredericfor the update and @GauravSonifor leading the second drive and allowing us to participate.
