The drive objectives were layed out, and we delivered. We started off with around 35 minutes playing around doing Sidies in the big dunes right near the desert safaris. It was @Krinesh first night drive, and together we all made sure he had a great debut! 👏 It can be tricky to see the angles and heights of the dunes at night, but everyone drove this area flawlessly, esp as we were pulling big Sidies around Deep bowls and pockets. From here we headed out westwards hoping to catch a easy trail to zone2... Instead I found a fence and drove us into a deadend! Whoops! After we reversed out one by one we managed to get back on track and start hitting some.of the flowing dunes. We followed these flows into the main event where I promptly got stuck in a soft patch, and thanks to some nice guidance on the radio from @Zed got out pretty quickly. This was when we discovered that he would have to impersonate Keanu from speed and keep the RPMS high to avoid engine shutdowns. Next the team found themselves having to shovel me out after getting crested on a ridge. Great team.effort trying to move a mountain of sand, but in the end @Aser tugged the back of my car around so I could use gravity and drive out. After arriving in zone3 we had a few good long range dunes and started encountering some heavy fog rolling in, so high tailed it to the exit a few minutes early to avoid getting stuck in adverse weather. It was a really fun mid week escape with lots of big terrain! Thanks for coming from Dubai @Jose Luis Campos, and good to get a big chunk of the Abu Dhabi carnity crew together @Aser @Dan S @Diego @Krinesh & @Zed Enjoy the rest of your week!

Incredible drive today guys!! Unfortunately we lost @Beide Worku very early due to coolant issue.. hope it's a quick fix mate First off, the driving discipline from everyone today was spot on. Super impressed with everyone taking the lines exactly, bringing the correct momentum into the big climbs, bowl exits and doing crossings with precision! Very impressive @Zsolt @Diego @Krinesh. We covered nearly 70km of great fun terrain.. my favourite I think was the big 360 bowl, followed by the double cross exit into the oasis bowl... Smooth, controlled, and exciting!! Thanks to @ChrisW @Andrew John Melvill and @Aser for the support duties and demonstrating great safe techniques! We covered nearly all of the map 😎 Enjoy the rest of your weekend and see you all again soon.

Nice one @Michael asir. Congrats! See you on a drive soon -
Happy Saturday. RSVP is now closed. I'll post convoy tonight. See you at 06:30 deflated, and ready for briefing. @Zsolt @Diego @ChrisW @Andrew John Melvill @Krinesh @Aser @Beide Worku @Ahmed Farouk To help set @Diego's expectations; we will start by snaking our way up the big dunes, then criss crossing down into the thunder bowl, then climbing, and switching, lots of Sidies along the front bowl.. some.small ridge lines as prep for climbing up and into the big stuff 😂 or something like that. I recommend to.leave passengers at home unless they are used to the large roller coaster style dunes as can get a little sea sick

DRIVE DESCRIPTION Need a quick mid-week night drive? Happy to drive out to Khatim? Want to be home and in bed before midnight? If you answered yes to these questions, have I got the drive for you! We will be doing a short blast (2.5 hours max) around Khatim on Tuesday night. Planning to start on the north east side of Khatim [Zone1], play around in the mid sized dunes for 45 minutes or so, then take a dirt road trail to the north west [Zone2], where we will spend an hour playing on the large dunes. From here we will tone down the drive into exploring and ridge riding the longer range dunes in the south west [Zone3] where we will promptly exit at 22:30 near the Astronomical Observatory. Normally I drive this area west-to-east.. but on Tuesday we will play it in reverse.
