Sorry team leads but i have to withdraw from this drive on account of receiving back a positive PCR test this evening. I am really disappointed to be missing out tomorrow, but I don't think it is safe for me to be driving even if the symptoms are only mild.

Thanks @Frederic and @Srikumar for an amazing 2 days of epic terrain. It had everything and my family can’t wait to do it all again! And thank you to the rest of the convoy for your support and friendship and hopefully see you on future drives.

Thanks for organizing and the extra instructions re E11. We will be driving down from AD (early start!) about 2 hrs for us. We will refill at the E11 ENOC you suggested. Our LC 300 has split 80/30 petrol tank but is thirsty - saying i only get about 800km a tank on the tarmac. This of course will be worse offroad. I will bring a 20l jerry can just in case. Just so we can plan food a bit - you are saying we will be near an ADNOC for dinner in the evening and lunch on day 1 or day 2?

Hi Jaro - thanks for the offer. Frederic has a spare and will bring along the combination Amazon wrongly suggested was the AOR FLGB SA with quick disconnect. Not the FLG 9S. you would think they would make them the same thread!

Hey Frederic - AOR flag and suction arrived today from Amazon but are not compatible even though Amazon said they are frequently bought together. I can't get a replacement delivered in time for Saturday. Any ideas of where to get one or can I be in convoy without one?

The car is the GR Sport version so was sold to me as more suited to off roading than the non GR LC 300 - Ground clearance 235mm, approach angle 32 degrees and rampover angle 21 degrees. Please share your vehicle details - Make, Model, Color, and Year. 2023 Landcruiser GR Sport, Grey in color Do you have any prior off-road experience? If yes, pls share details. I have participated in a dozen or so camping trips in the desert around Al Ain, Abu Dhbai in convey where we deflate tyres to 15 psi and head off into unmarked tracks in convoy; stopping and finding places to camp out of the wind which requires safely entering bowls and ensuring appropriate exit for the following day. Confirm your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks/eyelets. confirmed Advise if you don’t have a programable radio and safety flag. Have ordered a flag for delivery this week Haven't got a radio yet but understand i need to get one from Dragonmart? Can you let me know which one? Additionally, i will be bringing my family which includes 3 kids - 16/14/11 years plus the wife. Will that be a problem?
