Myrko

Nice one @Ash S., feeling the pressure, I really need to pull up my socks! Hope to see you on IM level soon

I had the same issue a quite a few times myself. Mostly after a pop-out, where sand was stuck between the rim and the tire. It also seems to happen after very sharp turns in soft sand, when the tire pressure is low. The main culprit is the size of the tire wall: too small due to the size of rims needed to wrap around the large brake calipers. Apparently very easy to collect sand and not easy to just flush it out. This has given me quite some unwanted work in the desert. On top of it, annoying costs and time wasted at a tire shop afterwards to clean everything out again. It's one of the reasons I want ( read "need") to change the "soccer mom" 20 inch rims on my car. Unfortunately not an easy project with my Defender. Till then, I choose to run on slightly higher pressure, no guarantee but reduces the problem.

Congrats Herman, hope to join you after this weekend!!!

Congratulations, @Diego Enjoy the new level!

Congrats, Zsolt!

@Davie Smooth_Operator I really wanted to join the sign-off party, unfortunately work decided otherwise. So, I’m still in the office, while you are hopefully sharing a laugh in the sand. Thanks for the great memorable drives, you're my wife's favorite marshal (position is open for others to fill now 😄)! Wherever life will take you, I hope you'll be able to enjoy same or other motorized fun, whether that’s in 4x4 or maybe on a motorbike, or... Bon voyage and Godspeed, with the emphasis on the last syllable of the latter!

Congrats Mr @Carl Stanley, let’s celebrate in the sand!

Hi @Emanuel Very sorry, I will not be able to get out this weekend. Catching a flight back to Europe this afternoon for a sad emergency.

Hi @Luke K P I'm very sorry, but will have to drop out. Need to catch a flight back to Europe this afternoon.

Congrats @Diego, seems like today is a day for promotions!

Thanks @vinayak n and the very same to you!! Thanks also @Gaurav, @Andrew John Melvill, @Frederic, @Luke K P. Looking forward to playing in the sand at newfound levels: steeper climbs, deeper descends, higher sides and longer ridges!! OFC they will probably come with a fair share of other challenges, but who doesn't like to shovel sand or manage pop-outs in the sun should probably look for another hobby 😄 You'll see more of the green Defender in the habitat it was supposedly designed for, unlike most of her poor siblings enlisted in morning school runs or mall excursions...
