Hello Everyone! I'm a bit confused about something and was wondering if someone with more knowledge could clear this up for me. I currently have 18 inch wheels and 265/60/R18 tyres on my 2018 Pajero SWB and I wanted to get smaller wheels for more sidewall for more grip in the sand. The sidewall difference in 265/65/R17 seems very minimal so I wanted to get a 16 inch wheel with 265/70/R16 tyres. Apparently the pajeros that come with 16inch wheels have the same bolt pattern and hub bore, however it has a slightly different backspacing (18=154mm, 16=148mm). Does this mean I can pick up 16 inch pajero wheels and not have any issues? Additionally, what other information/measurements do I need if I wanna pick up a third party/non-Mitsubishi wheel? I would really appreciate the help, thank you in advance.

Hi! So after 10 years of my Pajero ownership I finally mustered the budget and courage to buy and install aftermarket wheels. Unfortunately, my Pajero had other plans. I have a 2” lift (Ironman), everything else is stock. Plan was to install 17” wheels, 0 offset with 265/70/17 tyres. This fit rubbed against the bumpers. We swapped for +25 offset wheels and 265/65/17 tyres however, the concavity of the wheels pushed against the front brake calipers. Upon research turns out this model has bigger brake calipers and is a known issue. The wheel shop tried installing 5mm spacers up front but that didn’t fit either. Not sure whether they were generic or otherwise. The wheels were RRW and models tried - RR7-H and RR7-S I really want to complete my build and happy to explore other brands (Method etc.). I would be grateful to hear from you guys on your experience and get your guidance on how to complete this project.

...my little car project is going on....i got my bull bar installed and a LED bar onto it and changed all bulbs inside and outside the car to LEDs as well...am so far happy with the results. Now my attention goes towards the tires..mine are the stock version from Al Habtoor....they are about 3 years old and have 30k mileage... - When do you guys change tires? - Is there an age limit where they dont pass anymore RTA vehicle testing and registration? In due course i wanted to upgrade the tires to A/T´s (All Terrain) version. Does anyone have experience or mounted the BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 (LT 265/60R18) I like this tire a lot, but am not sure how much the tire noise will increase during driving ? I also wanted to use 50 mm spacers to take the rims a bit out.. Has anyone experience with spacers on their Pajero ? i would greatly appreciate and feedback.. Save Driving to ya all, Saman
