  3. DRIVE DESCRIPTION Welcome to Carnity off road club Fewbie Plus drive. We are meeting by the Behzad ranch and immediately will be welcomed by one of the largest set of red dunes in Sharjah. There is no warm up phase in this area, so you and your car need to be awake, ready, and in shape from the first minute. MUST READ AND COMPLY Environmental Policy Offroad Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquette's Emergency details for all off-roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities Drive Details Level: Fewbie Plus and above Meeting time: 6:00 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: https://goo.gl/maps/G4YvrUaFKnYMeY4D6 Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. What to bring along: Sun hat, loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Mandatory off-road gears: Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit, Tow Rope, 2 Shackles and fire extinguisher. Approximate finish time: 10:00 AM P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE This drive is limited to 10 cars only. RSVP will close on Friday - 1 PM. If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list. RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list. Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions. Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions. Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others. Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month. PLEASE RSVP ON THE CALENDAR

  7. Dear @Brett Eicher, @Mahmut, @Shaun J, @W a q a r, @Mahesh_ , @Cristian, @Amir Amiri it was a pleasure seeing you all yesterday and i hope you enjoyed the Rollercoaster drive as promised. Altough there have been alot of vegetation in some unexpected areas, but we managed to have fun over all. @Brett Eicher i was happy to see you after our last year yellow truck adventure 😁 and i really like what you have done to your car. Thank you for for being a great S/L with with full attention and immediate respone to my advice. Thanks @Bjoern, and @Rob S for the amazing support of the convoy and being my eyes as the back @Bjoern you owe me a coffee (or schnapps 😬 ) and a doughnut for making me spend 1:30 hours trying to add you to the manage tab 🤣😂 Looking forward to see you all on the next one 😀

What you'll learn Basic dune and sand reading Self-recovery techniques Shoveling at right place Crawling out of difficult situations Blip Blip - Coordinate steering and gas control Basic side sloping and hill climb Basic ridge riding and criss crossing Basic control over technical dunes Slightly faster pace desert driving Ability to manage stuck/refusals with radio Learn to control and avoid fishtailing Never fight or challenge gravity Skills required Enthusiastic and positive attitude Willingness to learn and help others Presence of mind and attention to detail Car Worthiness Any 4x4 vehicle with low range gearing Suitable approach and departure angle Off-road gear required Safety flag, tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, shovel, fire extinguisher, medical kit, radio (walkie-talkie), air compressor. Drive teamwork Manage second lead and sweep positions upon request Intuitive and proactive to support Trip Lead Observe recoveries and offer help, when needed Drive Joining Join Newbie and Fewbie drives Forum participation Active participation on the forum Share drive experience + feedback Share drive pictures in the gallery Post trip report after the drive

Drive teamwork Manage center forward position with Trip Lead’s permission Learn/assist recoveries under Trip Lead’s supervision Re-route convoy and coordination, when needed Learn to lead small portion of Intermediate drive under Marshal supervision Drive Joining Join Newbie, Fewbie, Fewbie Plus and Intermediate drives. Learn offroading from Youtube or Instagram videos - "ONLY" People buying 4x4 think they are entitled to drive on sand without an understanding of how vehicle dynamics or weight distribution works in the sand. Answer: Too fast for crisis-crossing without managing the weight distribution correctly. Wish there was a real video than a hand movement explanation to really help.
