Cold Air intake system for FJ

Dear all

Need advice about installing a cold air intake system on my FJ. Some believe that it adds HP, smoother engine better sound while say others it can damage engine. Is it really worth the cost of AED 2500/-?

What is the kind of CAI that you are planning. If it's the snorkelm, then I would not recommend it as it's not exactly justified the investment unless you are wading in water.

Your air intake needs to be close to it's current location for it to give some real benefit.

Yes, a real CAI does help as in principal cold air = more dense air, which will result in better oxygen supply resulting in better combustion. But like I said above is it a real CAI?

I have a intake in my FJ, love the sound, theoretically it increases the HP ... i installed with snorkel
