Ford Everest for Off Road

Anyone got opinions of the Ford Everest for off-road ?

I have a colleague that is buying one and interested in starting off road driving.

Its based on the Ranger platform and does seem to have proper off road capabilities

With radar at the lowest level with 8.9 Inch clearance, will diminish that definition big time.

This is as per my quick search online, as I have never seen one in the sand so far. 

If he is buying for family camping and NB level drive, I think it will be fine but with a lot of caution on descending every dune slowly.

Ask him to check if Ford offers one here without Radar and a more off-road-friendly bumper.

I may sound old-fashioned, but for off-road use, I will stick with known, proven models rather than betting on a new launch that comes with desert photo shoot marketing material.

I do love some of the desert marketing commercials here, it’s alway fun to watch for the early cuts when it’s obvious a bumper or other part is about to be ripped off, or the approach to a dune that is completely the wrong angle.
