DRIVE DETAILS

Level:  Fewbie and above
When: 5 October 2024, Saturday
Meeting time:  6:15 AM - Sharp

Approximate finish time: 10:15 AM
Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.
What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

RECOMENDED OFF-ROAD GEAR:

• Tire deflator & Tire pressure gauge
• Compressor (MANDATORY)
• Walkie-talkie radio (MANDATORY)
• Off-road flag (MANDATORY)
• Shovel, Tow Rope & 2 Shackles
• First-aid kit
• Fire extinguisher

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

• This drive is limited to 10 cars only. RSVP will close on Friday - 12 PM.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Dear Desert Drivers, 

Thank you for signing up for the drive on Saturday in Sweihan. You can expect a well paced drive, with high dunes and soft sand. It will be FB level, but we will have some high climbs, long ridges, and many opportunities to push the throttle. With the height of the dunes, and the higher speed we may have, you will have to be totally focused on your driving, and avoid fighting the gravity in any situation.

In preparation for the drive, please check your car and be sure it is fit for a long desert drive, especially if you have not driven for more than a month. Remove unnecessary items from the trunk and rear seats area, and secure properly any loose item.

We have 3 wait list, so please check your agenda and let me know if you changed your plans to avoid disappointment and empty spots. Thank you !

I thiiiiiink you’ll find that I’m doing the FB drive with Jerome on Saturday morning, and then the DCT practice with the Desert Flyers on Sunday. 
 

So…no clash, and all aligned with the rules…

Ok thanks - there was a bit of a faff (at my end) getting the right combination booked. Looks to be all straight now.
