As long as your headlights / highbeams are working, that's all you will need to follow closely the car in front! @Dan S

_luke_
We were all assembled and ready by 20:00 for a short but focused briefing before heading into the sands. Spirits were high and everyone was eager for a midweek blast under the stars. We kicked things off with a warm-up session — some playful sidies and small ridge runs to get both drivers and vehicles into rhythm. After about 45 minutes exploring the south side, we crossed over to the northern section, where the dunes grew taller and the challenges sharper. Here the real fun began — we practised left-right switching, double switches, ridge riding (both uphill and downhill), and even tackled a few blind switches. The team handled it brilliantly, maintaining formation and focus throughout. We had our first refusal during a switch attempt, but recovery was quick and smooth — great teamwork all around. At one point, a couple of vehicles with no lights roamed nearby, so extra caution was required. Despite that distraction, the convoy stayed composed. I had a bit of a wrestling match with one ridge — two quick stucks in two minutes, both efficiently handled with help from the whole team. Later on, as we approached the exit, I managed a third stuck, this time needing another winch recovery. These things happen 😅 We cruised back over the sabkha, maintaining a relaxed pace, and exited right on time at 22:30. Overall, it was a fantastic midweek drive — smooth coordination, great energy, and solid driving from everyone involved. Can’t wait for the next one! @Jose Luis Campos @Dan S @ChrisW 1 1
