Level:  Newbie and above (all levels)

Meeting Point: 2:00 PM

Action Plan:   An opportunity to drive with fellow FJ owners, of all skills levels, to learn the best way to exploit the power, agility and drivability of this almost "unstuckable" off-roading vehicle. Learn the best tricks to self-recover and overcome successfully any obstacles the local off-roading terrain can throw at you. Of course, any car is welcome to join, but this will be an opportunity not to be missed by FJ owners, to make the best of their car's features.

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

Approximate finish time: 6:00 PM

P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE:

• This drive is limited to 12 cars only. RSVP will close on Saturday at noon.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist. Once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Dear @Peterman. Thank you very much for joining the drive. One question: this is not an Absolute Newbie drive, that is members who may join should have either done a Carnity Masterclass or already had a first drive with Carnity. Can you please be more specific about your previous off-roading experience? It would be helpful to decide whether this drive would be OK for you, or if it'd be better that you first complete another Newbie drive. Looking forward to your kind comments.

Dear Ale, I have driven 6 times in the dessert with a friend of mine. I have lots of experience on snow and northern European off roading, but I have not driven with carnity before.

I have a compressor and shovel.

Dear Desertnauts,

a quick briefing for tomorrow's drive. As planned, particular attention will be devoted to FJ drivers, with whom I hope to share as much info as possible about the car's potential. We'll try to get the convoy engaged with some more challenging dunes, with the goal of tutoring the approach to crossings or side-slopes, train with self-recoveries, sort out any stuck, while at the same time enjoying the virtually pristine terrain.

i have just seen the time changed to 14:00-18:00, i start work at 18:00 tomorrow so I must cancel unfortunately. Have fun and hope i can join a drive soon.
